Introduction
Our view of God has a direct influence on what we do in life. A fundamental error in the way that Christians view God as lowly and is entertained universally has arisen lesser evils among us. Our comprehension that our calling is a way to glorify God, our steward concerning Gods creation, and how to treat each other as created in God's image are factors greatly influenced by the way we view God as a supreme being. Therefore, the need to study the theology of miracles as a doctrine to help us have a positive life.
Miracles
A miracle is an extraordinary event produced by God in a religious context and perceptible to the senses as a sign of his supernatural ability. The unusual nature means that the event is beyond the powers of worldly nature or the fact is extremely unlikely within the extents of human powers alone. Micheal Horton (2011) asserts that "In response against naturalism, Christians often state that God is in fact regularly involved in the course of their daily lives in the form of miracles. Starved for some realistic sense of God's reassurance for their lives, individuals promising them a daily encounter with wonders are flocked with Christians. The thought of God's ordinary providence is lost in the bargain forgetting His presence through creaturely means and natural processes that he has created and sustains (p. 368). Scriptures know nothing that is independent of God's agency. Therefore, any situation beyond providential nature is miraculous showing God's prevalence (p. 369). A miracle is one of God's activity less common, in which he awakens people's amazement and sensation that they may bear witness to himself (p. 355).
Life Application of Miracles
Miraculously experiencing God's power, either in healing from a chronic disease or through providentially leading a surgeon's hands, God is equally near to us, for "in him, we live and move and have our being" (Acts 17:27-28). God's ability in doing extraordinary things is eminent in situations that are beyond understanding such as escaping a grisly accident with minor injuries for in Jeremiah 32:27 He says "I am the LORD, the God of all humanity. Is anything too hard for me? In our daily endeavors, plans hit a dead end and often find it impossible to proceed in life even with assistance from family and friends. However, God's reassurance is sufficient and removes all worries as he tells us in Luke 18:27 Jesus replied, "What is impossible with man is possible with God." Our belief in God is of benefit in our lives, If you can, said Jesus. "Everything is possible for one who believes." Mark 9:23.
Conclusion
The Bible is filled with miraculous acts of God, and those who believe in the scripture believe in miracles. In present day someone claiming to have witnessed a miracle, even evangelical Christians find it awkward and attributes the "miracle" to an overcharged imagination or the development of modern science. A difficult paradox takes center stage that we long for miraculous gestures and wonders like those in the bible, but we struggle to overcome our modern skepticism when we witness or hear of events worthy of being called "miraculous." Our understanding of God's way is the primary factor that will surpass the exaggeration of human knowledge and the extent of its usage.
