He oversees the financial activities of the company, which include tax, treasury, internal audit, analysis, financial operations, and controllership (Amazon, 2019). Olsavsky focuses on price as one of the critical factors that ensure Amazon serves all consumers. By overseeing the financial activities of the company, the CFO can determine appropriate prices and deals that consumers across the world can afford.
