Introduction

The decisions made by the top management in an organization are based on stakeholders and the situation of the business. The managers have the role of making a decision basing on the leadership skills and the rules they have to in case of any issues. The manager decided to promote employees in their grades to increase motivation in the organization. The decision that he made was a tactical and strategic since the main issues that were happening was on having a lower output in the firm. The manager also realized that most employees in the organization were having more advancement in their levels of education since they had upgraded. Notably, the motivation of an employee is gained by promotion and improving their salaries for more involvement and commitment of work to be done. The decision-making style used by the manager is the group-based. There were a lot of consultations with all the stakeholders before the arrival of the decision making on the promotion of the employees in the firm (Safrul & Abdullah, 2018. The methodology adopted on group-based possesses a lot of advantages since it has minimal errors and thus can be viable in the organization for advocating for equality and fairness of all activities done.

Application of Vroom-Yetton-Jago-Model

The Vroom-Yetton-Jago-Model of decision making tries to analyze the leadership goals for successful progress and emerges in leadership. Some parameters measure the decision made by the manager and they are based on the Vroom Model. The aspects of commitment, time restrictions, organization members, and the quality of the decision made. The Vroom-Yetton-Jago-Model helps in this context to determine the reliability and efficacy of different groups in the decision making of organizations' decisions. The method adopted on the parameters of quality is vital since the decision reached is qualitative on the consultations done. Commitment is also shown through the decision that has involved all people, and thus, everybody throughout the organization is cooperative to work.

The time restrictions of a decision are another question posed by Vroom-Yetton-Jago-Model, and thus in the arrangement, all staffs have the timeline for doing their work. The decision was considered after a long period for consultations and checks of the company's performance in the market. The consideration of the organization members is also very vital since the workers remain to give the decision on what to address. Organization members are the key drivers in the operations of a company since they provide a workforce that needs to be accompanied by suitable decision making (Luhrs, Jager, Challies, & Newig, 2018). The group method adopted is a technique of making a decision basing on democratic aspects. The choice of the group method shows the essence of involvement and readiness to work for the company for realizing different goals and objectives and going concerns of the firm. The theory concentrates on various methodologies and tries to make the leader to be involved in the process of decision making. The leader should assess the situation, look at issues impacting the group, assess the support that the group will give, and then take on the most suitable style to adopt. The decision bases on quality, critiques, further theory, and the need for expansion.

Conclusion

The model of Vroom-Yetton-Jago is best suited for my supervisor for decision making on the issues impacting the organization. The recommendations offered on using the style of having a good assessment of the groups and style of leadership in the organization are critical when handling situations in firms. Therefore, the Vroom-Yetton-Jago-Model provides a solution for answering the different questions discussed for better decision making in firms that aid in boosting the organizations' overall performance.
