Introduction

Some circumstances may lead to an individual to migrate from his or her homeland. It may be as a result of positive or negative scenarios happening in their nation. Relating to the discussion of Nguyen, the two immigrants, Sukra and Abdullah, migrated from their home country seeking personal needs that didn't exist in their nation (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 623). There is the availability of labor, which enhances employment. The immigrants came to the U.S. to obtain and achieve their rights which were not available in their nation. These were such as government support and education (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 624). Negative perceptions should cease since immigrants try to survive and live like any other individual. The impressions are inhumane when it comes to their case.

The United States should consider that immigrants may have migrated due to escape of war that leads to life risks and danger. Immigrants tend to flee from an uncomfortable environment that encompasses violence and the deaths of individuals. Abdullah had scars obtained during the war that got covered by a long-sleeved shirt (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 625). More illustration gets seen when Galaydh remained in the U.S. as Sukra and Abdullah remained in Mogadishu, where there were total war and violence (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 626). The setting of Galaydh shows that immigrants need a place to depend on due to unavoidable and undesirable circumstances. The U.S. should consider that some immigrants settles in this country to seek refuge and help, which they may not have found or receive from other nations.

Terrorism factor is a common enemy and a hindrance to the United States due to insecurity and violence issues. The United States of America should consider that not all immigrants are terrorists. The immigrants tend to feat for their lives as they get arrested due to court orders against them (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 632). The country should consider giving individuals with pressing needs a chance to seek refuge and reform their lives.

Based on the discussed events, it is possible to change the negative perception of immigrants to the United States in different approaches. The primary method is to monitor the immigrants settling in the United States and giving them opportunities to participating in public events (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 632). It will enable the country to view the positive things regarding the immigrants. Another way is to stress the United Nations High-Level Dialogue on Migration and Development (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 632). The dialogue expounds on the way citizens in America should relate to immigrants and will change the negative perceptions. Enhancing and involving the immigrants in antiterrorism public events and meetings in America and stress on peace through the aid of the United Nations, which will change the negative perceptions (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 632). The other way to change the negative perception is through reading the books and articles of immigrants, which expresses their lives and experience (Nguyen & Ore 2005: 632). It will enable the citizens in the country to see the positive things immigrants are seeking and dispose of negative thoughts.
