Introduction
In general, the essay will discuss three to five live poems whose central theme conform to my understanding of ideal love. Poets have tried to express their more profound understanding of love through a piece of writing. Besides, other authors write about their real experience of love. People have different knowledge of perfect love, and how it is expressed; therefore, not all people may agree with the ideas of the poet. In this essay I will concatenate my perception about ideal love with different poets' meaning of perfect love and how it is expressed. Besides, I will provide arguments supporting typical love according to my point of view. Finally, I will describe how the main theme of the poem conform with my perception about perfect love.
Chemistry of love a complicated affection of attachment and preoccupation directed to a particular person. It is not that easy to classify love though it is associated with the social concept of life. In this sense, love will bear different meaning to different people and it may lead to confusion since some people cherish and express care for their part while others do not treasure and value love. To me, ideal love exits when there is a strong bond that creates a connection between the mind and the heart of two parties. Perfect love is depicted through true emotions of trust and totality by the two parties.
According to "Life is Love, and Love is Life" poem written by Ann Jonson love is said to be essential to human life. Rossetti (1986) states that where there is ideal chemistry of love, feeling of intimacy will ever grow no matter what happens. Jonson in her piece of writing integrates affection and life. She argues that experience is necessary though people will have to die at some point true love never dies. It continues to grow even after death. She adds that intimacy grows with every single heartbeat of the lovers. True love gives meaning to life in the sense that when two people are in love, they enjoy what life offers. Two people who share passion can overcome life challenges since we cannot ignore the fact that life is full of problems which need endurance and persistence to overcome.
"The Rising Sun" poem written by Donne describes true love as strong affection that comes any time since it does not have defined season. According to Donne, love is conscious like the sun does. The two parties involved in love have to deliberate about each other to avoid heartbreaks. When one is aware of his or her partner, they will act with great respect and care to make each other happy. Being mindful about your lover is a great virtue that both people must embrace to enjoy good fruits of love. Poet advises his audience to be watchful all the time like the sun does since he has used the sun as the metaphor to express appreciation.
The poet says that love that love does not know season meaning that chemistry of love reveals itself when people least expects. Ideal love comes at the right time, and it does not need to coerce. Denne argues that it can come expected, any day or an hour and the parties respond since it is something that they feel from the bottom of their heart. Human being valued time so much but love does not know time. Emotional act in favor of the lovers such that they feel a strong connection between them which makes them feel at ease the moment they are together.
The speaker in the poem says that his love is like the king of a country. When one has true feelings towards another person, he or she tends to treat that person as a king. We all know that a king is a person who is highly honored by all subjects. In the same lovers have to pay respect to each other and show imminent love all the times. A metaphor of a king in the poem was meant to signify the love and care that the king has to his nation, in a similar way lover should embrace the same to live a happy life. According to the poet, true love means a lot to the people involved such that they do not pay attention to what is happening around them. They mind more about their passion despite what other people say behind their back.
Donne states that ideal affection focus on what is in the mind of the lovers. They ignore what happens in the outside world since they feel complete when they are together. They always feel as if they in their world because of genuine feelings of love. Other people do have no power over them since the decision lies in their hands. It is clear the poet says that the sun is not so powerful since he can cause an obscure by closing his or her eyes. The poet implied that the lover could control what will happen around them rather than allowing the situation or condition control them.
Noushad argues that one will see beauty on the face of the lover as indicated in "Love and Love" poem. He adds that when you look into the eyes of your lover, you feel the love in your heart since her eyes filled with love. Poloczek (2007) argues that body language can communicate a lot without uttering any word. Feelings are focused on you lover and one can feel love even through a sense of touch. True love can make people together even without saying any word to each other and experience the best moment over. It is evident to "Love and Love" poem where he expresses his deep affections to his lover even without exchanging a simple word. Her presences are so significant such that it makes his heart melt because of love revealed by her lover through her eyes.
When one falls in love with another person may lack a clear understanding of how it came to be. Ideal love controller the parties involved as depicted in the "Love and Love" poem. The poet contemplates so much to the extent of asking rhetorical questions like what made him fall in love with that lady. When one love he or she can do great to the lover because of the immense feeling from his or her heart. Besides, one may love until they start to puzzle where they will go after death since no one is ready to die and leave the other. The speaker asks himself where he will go after death because he wonders whether he will meet his lover in life after death. Ideal love can lead to obsession such that without the person you love, life has no meaning at all.
My choice of love poems implies that I believe in the existence of ideal love. All the lyrics I have discussed their central theme revolve around perfect love and how is expressed from one person to the other. The choice of the poem renders me a victim of true love since I was very selective when I was deciding which verse to write about in this essay. There are many poems about true love, and among those, I have only chosen to write about four of them since they conform with my perception about love.
These poems reinforce my belief about ideal love. According to my understanding of perfect love, it only exists between two people. Bethurum (1959) says that people have a strong bond that connects them and makes them feel like they want to be in their world. When they are together, they share the joy of love and express love in different forms. Mostly lovers express their ideal love through unspoken words which can only be understood by the other partner. Many people around the world think that spoken words can explicitly express love. My perception is that spoken words cannot show love with totality. Body language plays a vital role in expressing perfect love since one can look into the eyes of the love and see a deep and intense feeling of love in the eyes. In return, one also feels the same compassion of love in the heart when you look into the eyes of your lover.
Conclusion
In conclusion, ideal love demands constant upkeep. True love is rewarding since it lasts forever. A relationship can last forever were deception do not prevail. Deceptions are the worst enemy of ideal love in the current world; thus, love to need to be handled with care to avoid divorce at later stages. Typical love bears fruits like joys, happiness, and care for one another. The poets expressed their understanding about typical love through writing. Their literature influences other people to understand meaning of true love in our society. Peace would prevail in the society when people understand and embrace true love among themselves.
