Introduction
Industries together with business organization are involved in constant operations with goals of achieving the best. Their continuous efforts to achieve the best are accompanied by frequent changes influencing the technology and general operations. However, such changes must be environmental friendly to ensure sustainability is achieved. Sustainability can therefore be defined as the art of preserving change while ensuring the stability of the environment. The change is then presumed maintain the nature, social and economic patterns of the environment. As per the article by Maletic et al. (2016) changes effected within a company must integrate ecological, economic and social well-being of the environment. With this respect, business entities should always prioritize environmental sustainability when designing their products as well as the waste products produced during the production process. The business companies should therefore adjust their operations towards reducing pollutants and hazardous wastes to the environment. Nevertheless, more revenues can be realized in a healthy and sustained environment.
It can be argued that a sustained environment as a result of healthy business practices can result in long-term gain. Such gain can be so beneficial to the overall components of the environment including the business companies. For example, through a healthy environment, business can greatly grow and survive while at the same time sales are likely to be on the rise (OrtizdeMandojana & Bansal, 2015). Achieving a sustained business environment requires combined efforts from all sectors. Furthermore, the public as well as consumers need to be educated about the safety measures for healthy environment since the future entrepreneurs live amongst them. The government and business organization should also promote programs and platforms that create awareness towards achieving sustained environment.
Leviticus 25:23-24 is one of the bible verses that God uses to encourage man to sustain the environment. "The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants. Throughout the country that you hold as a possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land". According to the verse, God gave mankind life and possession of the environment in which he must ensure all the activities he does do not destroy the environment but instead redeem it for the coming generation.
