Introduction
Media addiction is a suggested diagnosis in the misuse of related social media forms. It ranges from the internet platform such as pornography and video games. These items of the media have significant effects on their subscribers if they misuse the contents that are within the systems. The drastic impact on the abuse of the media content has thus led to the provision of prevention and intervention programs that are focused on the seeing that the dangers of the contents of the media are control and those already affected get the necessary help they need. The essay will thus look into the various interventions and prevention programs set and the various risks involved. The paper will also look into the activities that each program carried out, highlighting the results and the outcomes of the same [programs. Media addiction will be the focus and the pro0grams that have been put in place to address the matter at length. (Hou et al., 2019)
The first program looks at the intervention [prevention program on adolescent media addiction to pornography. Pornography has been a high-risk activity among the youths and teenagers because of the openings and easiness to which anyone can access pornographic content as long as they have access to the internet and have a Smartphone. The objectives and the goals of the prevention program was the creation and training of a series of professional who would be there to ensure that young and teenagers struggling with pornographic addiction get the necessary help they require. The other goal of the program was to give professional assistance to parents and the adolescent on the means on how to prevent and intervene on the addiction of pornography and the effects and behaviors that the addiction brings.
The activities that involved in the program included taking some adolescent girls and boys randomly from a sample that was selected. Parents were also included in the activity where several parents whose teenagers had reported that their children were addicts to pornography were also put under the activity where they were questioned on the behavior and the effects of the addiction. The process was carried out to collect the necessary information required in the process of providing the intervention for the dependence of pornography among teenagers. Other activities involved were engaging the parents on the various strategies that they can use in the process of litigating on the risky behavior among their children. The strategy included showing love to their children to help and show support for them during such a hard time. Parents were also advised to engage in follow up and teach their children the risks that are involved with watching pornography all the time. (Doh et al., 2016)
The results of the program showed an improvement in the manner in which adolescent view and take pornographic content from the media and the internet. Parents ensured to take a keen to follow up on the behaviors of the children and the stuff they are watching from the internet as a measure to prevent risky behaviors. Statistics show that 35% of boys have had access to pornographic content at some point in their life. The program was a success because most teenagers then resulted to not spending time watching pornographic material.
The second intervention [program was a study taken to look into media addiction among students. Since young students are the most affected of the risky behavior, the intervention program looked at the students and effects that media addiction has on them. The objectives and goals of the program were aimed at a conscious control of co0mmunications over the internet and the application of information technology in life. The other purpose of the plan was to formulate adolescent girl's attitudes and the values that they require in their social and development in the professional arena. The program's activities that were geared towards managing the menace of media addiction included motivational speeches from trained and experienced personnel. There were educational and psychological programs that specifically included trained psychologists who were to educate the teenagers on the dangers and the means through which one can avoid being a victim of media addiction.
The results of the program were derived from a methodology test that was used to test and examine the group's behavior and response. The methodology presented 52% of those in the experimental group and 44% in the control sector. The application of the method also was useful in obtaining data on internet addictions in the degree to which their severity lies. It was found out that adolescent kids who have low engagement with the internet showcase fewer changes to psycho-emotional situations compared to those with much interaction with the internet.
The third intervention program was based on a study that was taken of a young boy who would play video games at an average of 3-4 hours at the cost of 5$. The program was meant to meet object9ives of ensuring that the young nation understands the effects of video game addiction and the extent to which it can ruin their personal life. The other goal of the program was to help the students manage their time on video gaming, and the best approach they can apply to ensure that they don't get addicted to video games. The activities involved in the program included a sample taken of several students who were addicted and fond of playing video games. Motivational interviews were arranged to help the children get to understand the effects of video gaming addiction and the measures they can apply to evade such temptation of risky behavior. Teenagers were advised to employ the art of self-control and planning. These are aspects that are very vital in the control program of video game addiction. (Banyai et al., 2017)
The results of the program saw an increased number of teenagers ready to let go of the risky behavior and focus on other activities that are profitable and off value addition in their lives. The program proved to be a success in major countries across the globe. China, Japan, Malaysia, and other countries are applying the control program that has proved to be effective in the management and control of video game addiction which has become a significant problem among the young men and women in the continent. The intervention programs were very effective of adolescent kids who are the most affected by the activity of video gaming.

Media addiction had been significant concern over the safety of the children and the young generation because of the dangers that it poses to their daily lives. Intervention programs are thus set in place to see to it that children get the right exposure and education on the risky behaviors of the media. The intervention programs mentioned above are the few of the significant media addictions that adolescents are faced within the entire world. The program gives the activities and the means to which such risky behaviors can be avoided and controlled. Media addiction has become a significant threat to the lives of many children, and therefore parents and teachers should be at the front to educate the kids on the dangers and control of the contents of the media. Prevention and intervention program are the most reliable measures containing media addiction.
