Introduction
The living theory refers to the activities human beings indulge in daily. The activities may be positive or negatively oriented. The sociological theory pertains to all the ideas that define a society. The sociological theory revolves around the human being life, for example, the social status, the perception of a particular gender among the people, and their abilities to perform a particular task. The following are the various discussions and arguments about the sociological theory.
According to the author, the description of the sociological theory involves social interaction in relationships. The relationships create a strong bond among the people. The author argues that the social bond created influences people to come together; therefore, rewarding them(Acker,1990).To have a rewarding social relationship where everyone is included, one has to very careful about how to impress people so that they can join your association(Acker,1990). The bonds can also lead to status differentiation between the people. For example, when the students fear to ask the lecturer a question to avoid what he would think about them.
In most organizations, there is gender variation. For example, in most organizations, ' men are elected as the head of offices while women are exempted from those seats (Acker,1990). The sociologists have dramatically undermined the female gender until they decided to air out their grievances. Most organizations have dealt with women's issues in a traditional way (Acker,1990). Scientist study has shown that, in order to have gender equality in an organization, the theory of organization gender should be formulated (Acker,1990). The argument should address issues such as; work segregation between the gender, the inequality among the gender, and thirdly is the understanding of cultural gender perception in the organization (Acker,1990).
The arguments show that gender inequality among women was there even in the past years. A good example is seen in Mondragon when a researcher went to study about the democracy of the country, and no single question was asked about gender equality among women(Acker,1990). Women's absence in democratic research shows theoretical inequality. To end this issue of gender inequality in organizations, women have attempted to resolve the issues(Acker,1990). The social approach to gender inequality has helped to resolve these problems. The approach views the organization's gender perceptions as not neutral(Acker,1990).
Conclusion
To sum up, sociological theories show our engagement in daily activities as a human being. The arguments about this theory are about our living standards and how we associate with other people. Associating with other people gives us rewards since we are able to apply our knowledge together. It also prevents gender inequality. Organizations should adopt the strategies of working together in order to avoid the barriers associated with gender.
