The poem is about the poet telling of his love and friendship to his FAMILY. In the second line he says "Disappoint at times those I love most" "But it's true am loyal" the lines above show the depiction of love and friendship in any FAMILY, the disappointments and loyalty are the defining factors of any real relationship or friendship, and that is what family is fundamentally how family is defined (Granello et al. 2018)
The lines also present the INTERNAL CONTEXT of the FAMILY. The disappointments show the frustrations that any family goes through and no one should use that as a SCAPEGOAT to not being loyal to his family. The friendship in a family involves the CUMULATIVE effort of all members despite the little misunderstanding and fights that one might have in their home. The post in the line "If I strive to write verse, I'm "insane" "like my father before me" Though at times voice my fail..." these lines outline how the FAMILY is a SYSTEM that integrates the little failures and disappointments that a home might face the extraordinary unit of love and loyalty.
STRESS is a common issue with most of us, and therefore managing it is essential. In the poem, the poet addresses several things that he feels disappointed at, and it is necessary that he ADAPT to it and not let it grow. In the last line, "In sweet dreams will heart's song win the day" in this line the poet has expressed a positive attitude towards all the STRESS that he feels troubled with. He says that he is positive that his poems and verses despite all the challenges, will still win the day, it is an EXTERNAL CONTEXT of handling and managing STRESS. PERCEPTION and the way we view things dictates how much they can affect us, showing a positive attitude towards the little disappointments that we may come across is a better way of handling stress other than looking at this with an AMBIGUOUS view (Chandra, M. Y., & Rashmi, M. J. 2019).
The poet has expressed his strategy of using poetry as a SYMBOLIC INTEGRATION that much helps him avoid stress and manage it when things aren't right. Having such an outlet means to channel STRESS is a better approach to handling stress in any context. MOBILIZING of all the RESOURCES available such as doing other things that are relaxing like yoga or writing poems is the best remedy to the management of stress.
FAMILY as a SYSTEM that INTEGRATES love and friendship times can be the source of anger and fights, and therefore, as individuals, we need to find avenues through which we can manage STRESS when we are trapped. Other resourceful means to handling and managing STRESS involve being assertive instead of aggressive. In the poem, the poet acknowledges that times when you need the freedom to be you, there are costs that you have to incur, which is an assertive means to managing the "cost."
FAMILY and STRESS are two elements that are common, and therefore, one has t fully understand the context of both elements. The building units of a FAMILY as the poem describes love and friendship. These two factors pave the way to better relationships and unity even when things get out of hand, and people get angry.
