Introduction
International business involves the trading of goods, services, technology, and capital among others across the state borders as well as the global level (Shenkar, Luo and Chi, 2014, pp. 345-390). The study of the introduction to international business equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills where I have gained an understanding of the different interplay of trading activities in the global market. Moreover, studying international business improved my understanding about different effects of the international transaction on countries, industries, domestic and foreign markets and individuals. Also, knowledge acquired through the study of international business has enabled me to appreciate the diversity that exists in the global market as well as the challenges that often characterize international transactions and their remedies. Understanding of different economic structure such as mixed market and free market and how they ease the occurrence of international trade has been instrumental in honing my international business skills.
Concerning global marketing, supply chain and human resources, I have developed a clear understanding of the global market and how different countries enforce varied policies to reap big from the international transaction. It is instructive to note that the study of the supply chain has equipped me with critical skills, particularly in assessing and determining the most efficient supply chain that can be pursued by different countries in their international transactions. In the same vein, human resources have emerged as a vital factor in the international business where there has been an outflow of workers across different borders in search of job opportunities. Through the study of human resources, I have gained sufficient knowledge of human resources and the important role they play in the international business.
Global marketing has enhanced my understanding of the improved awareness of customers of the goods and services transacted. Furthermore, the study of global marketing has helped me in understanding the impact of technology in the global trade where consumers and producers maintain constant communication which has improved their relationship as far as production and consumption is concerned. Also, through the study of global marketing, I have learned that it reduces cost in trading, and therefore, it can enhance an individual's savings. Better still, I have gained knowledge concerning the strategies used by the businesses in reaching consumers around the world within a short duration.
Conclusion
Regarding the study of the supply chain, I have developed an understanding of the different networks that link the producers and buyers. In the same vein, through studying supply chain, I have acquired knowledge of how it helps in reducing the costs and making the business stay competitive in the international business environment. More importantly, I have gained a relevant understanding of the different elements of supply chain and the channels that are followed before the goods reach the final consumer such as the development of the product, marketing, and customer service among others. Additionally, studying of human resources has provided me with an opportunity to understand the complex relations between companies and manpower and how different countries have shifted focus in developing human resources as they it is widely believed that the future of international business is anchored on human resources given their increasing innovative ideas.
