A perfect example of an effective speaker is Michelle Obama. The former first lady usually communicates to influence the audience. Her words are usually carefully selected. Michelle Obama captures her audience by being articulate and clear. This is one of the ways of being an effective speaker because for you to make an impact on the audience. Besides, your words have to be clear, and the audience has to hear every word of it. Another thing that makes Michelle an effective speaker is the fact that she is usually very humble and does not speak in a commanding voice. Instead, she speaks in a voice that calls upon the audience to implement whatever they are told, and this is what makes her speeches effective and have impact most of the time. It is essential to bring out humility in a speech, no matter how great you are. Michelle is usually composed in her speeches. She is always aware of what to say and where to say it. She usually has her words picked out and speaks with confidence. When a speaker shows confidence while offering a speech, it also shows the audience that it can truly believe in the speaker and that there should be no doubts. Confidence also proves that what the speaker says is true. Another thing that makes Michelle's speeches effective is the fact that she always shares one or two personal experiences. By so doing, she pulls her audience much closer to implementing what she will say because if she survived her experience, which means that, the audience will. An effective speaker gives hope to his listeners, and this is one of the major determiner of an effective speech.

On the other hand, an example of an ineffective speaker is Joe Biden. He is the total opposite of Michelle Obama. To start with, Joe says totally opposite of what his speech reads. By so doing, he gets confused and forgets what he was to say. Joe Biden has also proved that he is not composed, and it is usually a shame that a vice president cannot say a whole statement without unnecessary repetition. This is a manifestation of an ineffectual speaker. One of the qualities of effective speaking is being prepared and the fact that Joe Biden forsakes his speech and says his own words makes him ineffective. Even though he smiles (a good communication tool), he does it a lot, making communication ineffective. Joe Biden speaks without even thinking, a very ineffective communication act because one may say something inappropriate. He is popularly known for his gaffes, which he makes so openly and inappropriately and to make matters worse, publicly. Joe bidden has had countless gaffes, where he openly lashes out words at people. He once said offensive words to Jews, and this was wrong. He once recorded five gaffes in a week, which is pretty too much and which proves his inefficiency as a speaker.

In conclusion, for one to be an effective speaker, one must follow communication procedures and make sure that there is a delivery of a good speech. For a speech to be effective, one must aim at positively influencing the audience the way Michelle does, and not negatively as apparently observed with Joe Biden.
