However, with the increased rate of alcohol and drug abuse among the indigenous people, there is still a number of people who do not use alcohol and drugs in society. There are also a number of criminal activities that happen in a community that is committed by non-indigenous people. This paper will analyze how the personal choice of indigenous people led to crime, alcohol, and drug addiction.

Indigenous people are just like other rational human beings in our community; they face the same fears, oppression, and depressions in life. The personal choice of an individual contributes heavily to alcohol and drug addiction from one perspective to the other. There are specific challenges that contribute to the personal choice of indigenous people into drug and alcohol abuse. The accessibility of alcohol and drug tolerance abuse is a significant factor that has provided most of the indigenous people to access alcohol and drugs effectively. Most of these indigenous people the choice to copy the lives of other non-indigenous individuals by taking drugs and alcohol without any restrictions. The crime and incarceration rates cannot be blamed on the indigenous people since, in most societies, there is a high rate of criminal activities with or without their presence.

Joblessness and Poverty Levels

The rate of crime and incarceration increase in a society cannot be blamed on the indigenous people because of factors such as poverty level and job availability in the nation. The following challenges affect the security standards of a particular community; this will attract criminal activities among the public members due to joblessness and poverty levels. The crime and incarceration are mostly done in impoverished and less-advantaged regions in the society. In this scenario, we cannot, therefore, accuse the indigenous people of the contribution of the increase in criminal acts (Mosley et al., 2019). Social Level of Morality

The social level of morality of different from one community to another. Some society tends to tolerate other behavior of individuals while others tend to oppose and refute. The upbringing of different cities and social class tend to increase high crime and drug abuse. This tendency tends to encourage most people to indulge in criminal activities and drug abuse challenges. According to the survey that was conducted also stated that most of the people who were sexually, emotionally, and physically abused are more likely to be at the forefront of committing criminal related acts (Drahos, 2014). There is a need for incorporating a positive social level of morality into our communities. Public awareness campaigns on crime and incarceration should be done regularly in the cities, or the indigenous people, therefore, are not capable of committing murder and incarceration in society.

Police Policy

Police policy in a particular region contributes a massive impact to the security of a specific place. In the United States, for instance, the rate of criminal cases was higher before police policies were not effectively introduced. Indigenous people do not contribute to the security structure of a given region. With poor police policies service in the country, most of the citizens will tend to form criminal based operations in the country. With a police policy structure set in a country, there is a high likelihood that the criminal and activity will reduce drastically. In my opinion, indigenous people should be treated with equal rights and respect as other people in society (Drahos, 2014).

Population and Age of the Citizens

Indigenous people cannot be accused of peddling crimes and incarceration; this is because most of the people of the occupants of a place are comprised of people from different parts of the country. The youthful population that is included in youth people under the age of 20 to 30 years of age is more likely to cause a criminal increase (Mosley et al., 2019). These answer the question that indigenous people are more likely not the real cause of the crime and incarceration increase in society currently. We cannot collectively accuse all the indigenous people of being the number one contributor to the crime rate in the community.

In the world which we live currently everybody has free will to choose what they love and enjoy doing. Indigenous people are not left out as some of the examples of people who can be able to make a choice in the different challenges they face. There are a number of pf reasons that have illustrated some of the factors that have increased the crime level in the country Society. There are certain criminal activities that happen in a society that is committed by non-indigenous people. Indigenous people are not criminals, drug addicts, and corrupt social people in the community. The government should be in a position to control the security structure of a particular region. Indigenous people should be respected and loved like other people who live in our society currently. As a community, it is advisable to live in love, peace, and harmony with one another in society.
