Introduction
The diversity of people brings good things as the capabilities of the different groups of individuals that make a particular society results in improved ways of handling the problems that are found in the society. About this, it is worth identifying that to build a multi-racial society, and it is essential to ensure that interest of each group that makes up the community are addressed appropriately. One of the countries that need to be built on the base of race in the United States of America. This is due to the fact are a lot of misunderstandings and cases that are affecting the American people as a whole. The American society is made up of different people that are from different racial backgrounds. This being the case, it is normal to find out that offenses are being committed by many Americans on ethnic origins. To fight this, there is much need to educate American society on the importance of building a genealogical community.
Fighting Racism In America
To bring out the idea of building a multiracial society, the text will be based on a reflection on a book. The arguments will be based on three selected chapters. The material that is under consideration will be used as the source of the leading case of the subject matter. In so doing, I will try connecting the ideas of the book, and the real-life experiences, as well as that, have been learned in the classroom set environment.
Chapter 12 of the book has touched on the idea that black people tend towards not valuing marriage while the whites values. This specific statement is controversial as it favors the white people and down looks at other people. Even though the blacks were the victims of slavery in the 17th century, this should not be the case in the 21st Century. It is worth noting that marriage is a primary mechanism that is the platform for social and health inequities. Even if there is a belief that black has the behavior of having particular cultural ideas that have the characteristics of devaluing the importance of marriage, and the broader society as a whole, the view should be shunned down as instead of building the community, it is ruining it. The worrying thing that should be taken care off is on the idea that the belief is being passed from one generation to the other. As generations come and goes, the gap in the society widens, and in this way, the difference in between the black and the white people extends as years progress.
On the side of the culture of poverty, it has been identified that black women prefer heading single mother parenthood. This is a clear indication that they devalue the nuclear family. The behavior is not as good as the children that are brought up in such a family lacks important gender qualities that are vital in the survival in the society in general (Mouzon, 2014). In my view, the culture of America should be taught on how they can deal value marriage, especially in the case of the black women having a belief that they can raise children on their own. It is requirement children should be built in a family to ensure that they can get the appropriate virtues that are required in the in the fulfillment of the requirements of the society as a whole (Mouzon, 2014). The feelings and the experience that children benefit from being raised in a nuclear family have much difference into the ones that are experienced by children that are brought up in a single family.
Marriage has been noted to be the social intersection of the various institutions. In my view, America is a society that is profoundly affected by the idea of racial discrimination. Black people are the lot affected by this discrimination as they are the minority. About this, there is a clear indication that most of the people in the United States of America just because they belong to the minority groups. This should not be the case, as the group will always be in the struggle to liberate themselves from discrimination (Mouzon, 2014). In so doing, the fact is that they are not productive and their contribution to society is not dealt with correctly. The result of this is that the social satisfaction of community is not achieved. To avoid such a scenario, it is essential for every citizen to accept the idea that racism is dangerous and it will always ruin the social cohesion of the various parties of the society.
My argument regarding the subject of building a racially diverse society is that that the taboos on the interracial marriage should discard. These are the ones that are acting as the barriers for the community of America to grow together. The prohibitions against the interracial marriages are the reason behind retardation in the social development that is being witnessed today in the American society (Mouzon, 2014). It is worth noting that most it is hard to categorize the people on kind of marriage they have basing reasons on the racial background of the individual involved. It is attitudes and experiences that make define the competence that can be derived in the marriage set up.
It is essential for the nation towards the goal of establishing the ideas of having a multi-racial society where marriages can take place freely with no hindrances. This is important as the integration of the community will grow in the positive direction and the members of the population will benefit in general (Parker, 2015). When the issue of racial discrimination has been tackled, and the marriages can take place and in a positive way.
Conclusion
The family is the simplest unit of the society and should be taken care of as much as possible. What the children learn as they are being brought up, is the one that determines the outcome of the of what they will be in the society. This is how building a multi-racial society implies. Racial discrimination on the various perspectives should avoid at all cost. Surveys that have been conducted have shown that multi-racial adults have experienced racial discrimination at some point in their life's. This happens as they are from a particular ethnic background. To solve racial discrimination in the United States of America, I believe that the state must come up with laws that will take of the issues regarding racial discrimination as well as educating everyone on the importance of avoiding racism.
