Background Information on Bird Migration and Technology
Technology has played in an integral role in the development of new patterns across different sections of society. Technology has integrated a critical influence on the settlement patterns among individuals who have incorporated different aspects that promote human development without a focus on the increasing imbalance within the ecosystem. The development of skyscrapers has disrupted the movements of migrating birds which is detrimental to their wellbeing within the ecosystem (Gagne et al., 2016).
Conflicts Between Bird Migration and Technology
Artificial light to migrating birds, especially in foggy and rainy nights when the weather conceals the night sky. In such a situation, it is very difficult to have a greater understanding of the exact routes that these migrating birds tend to use. The birds tend to be very much disoriented pulling off the course and into an unaccustomed maze of a lighted building. This confusion that is created leads to Collison with the windows, building as well as collision with other birds (Cristaldi et al., 2017). Birds also usually afraid of flying in the dark especially when they come across and ensuring where there is lighter because it outlines fundamental behavioral concepts which have a critical influence on the wellbeing of birds within these settings. The consequences of a collision are not precisely known considering there is no precise knowledge on where these birds breed as well as other regions which these birds might be trapped or die as a result of the changing landscape and their inability to cope (Elliott, Sun & Zhu, 2017).
Recommendations to Resolve Conflicts
Conservation and management practices that need to be considered should be based on better approaches which help maintain a proper emphasis on essential measures that promote positive development. Understanding the habitat of birds is necessary for implementing changes within the society which help in building a strong growth within the ecosystem (Bliss-Ketchum et al., 2016). Making better decisions regarding conservation and management require strong emphasis on better elements that provide a more significant development. Even though it is difficult to undo the damage that has already been done, it is possible to integrate strategies that can help in creating a highly organized setting where it is p[possible to evaluate the influence of various human activities on the migrating patterns of birds which are essential to consider (Gaston et al., 2013).
