On the other hand, “the archaic kouros is a marble statue of a young human figure which is carved in Attica”, as explained by The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica (2020) it was calved in the 590 -580BC, and it depicts a firm posture with the left leg forward, hand on the sides and is resulting from the Egyptian sculpture.

The Parthenon is one of the renown architectural symbols of any civilization. It was built in 15 years the period between 447 to 432BC. The Parthenon was a Greek ancient temple that was designed to replace the temple destroyed by Persia in the 480BC. The monument is made of Pentelic marble, and it was designed by Iktinos to hold the monumental ivory and gold (chryselephantine) statue of Athene designed by sculptor architect Pheidias. The cella was larger and was meant to house the huge statue of Athena. “The line of six Doric pillars was used to support the back as well as the front porch and on the contrary colonnade of 23 smaller Doric columns surrounded the statue in a two arrangement.” (Hays n.d.)

Conclusion

The monuments were painted in the 1400BCE, and it depicted a young man performing what appears to be the handspring or which is commonly referred to as flip over the charging bull while two ladies flank the bull (German, n.d.). The gender of the figures in the painting can be identified through the color used, white to present ladies and red to represent the male. the background of the scene is white, yellow and blue monochrome which indicate no architectural context from the activity.
