Introduction
Aging adults are older people who range from 65 years and above. The health status of these individuals is important for the fact that, they are prone to chronic conditions if not well taken care of. This begins from the social relations created from different ethnic groups such as the African American culture, the conditions of life, and so many other factors that may necessitate them to live happily. In the same parallel, older people tend to sleep more during the day and this has negative effects on their health (Yaffe, Falvey, & Hoang, 2014). At the same time, aging makes people start to forget past and immediate events a disease commonly termed as Alzheimer's.
Sleep is very essential for aging adults especially at night. Enough sleep at night results in good health which is a reason why older people in America are healthy. Lack of sleep at night for the elderly something defined using one name is a disorder but at the same time, it can lead to declining life, poor brain functionality and other complications. Research again shows that sleeping during daytime increases hypertension and high blood pressure which is a threat not only to the elderly but also to all generations. For effective sleep, medical practitioners use the Epworth sleepiness scale to measure the amount of sleep an individual partakes.
The body heartbeat rhythm is also determined by the amount of sleep. As become older, the time of sleep increase. The results of too much sleep give them a chance to compensate the time they were awake during their childhood and also avoiding frustrations from the environment. To the aging people, lack of enough sleep leads to heart diseases, diabetes, falling and dizziness which affects the normal operations and their health. However, as people become old, there are a number of diseases that jip in interfering with their sleep patterns and sleep quality something that leads to other complications that interfere with their health.
The types of heart diseases can be measured using the Pittsburgh sleep quality index to determine the patterns and amount of sleep an older person is supposed to be administered with (Yaffe, Falvey, & Hoang, 2014). The instrument differentiates well from poor and therefore, making it easier for the aging population to understand their sleep patterns and the type of medication they require in order to avoid the confrontation of diseases that negatively impact their health. Old individuals need to visit health institutions each and every time in order to keep in hand their health status. It is through the health continuum that they can get to be treated and tested against any disorders or complications that affect them.
The elderly experience sleeping disorders because of many reasons for instance, medical social and physical disturbances. It is, therefore; clearly, that aging does not imply that older people have a propensity to attract sleeping disorders. However, to the aging, enough sleep will help them to manage the problems that may be attributed due to lack of sleep. Sleep is as important as water and food in the fact that it makes a person be active regardless of the age, to keep, alert and even carry on their activities without much involvement of help-seeking. According to Hoffman, normal aging follows a consistent pattern of sleep and failure to comply with the same, sleeping disorder emerges which takes away the quality of life and increases the rate of attracting diseases.
Sleep is controlled by the brain which has two processes that are intertwined to determining a person's health. The rhythm of the heart is also controlled by the sleeping pattern which is controlled by the brain (Van Someren et al., 2018). To start with the restorative process, it connects to the brain and determines the period in which someone will stay awake. The interference of this process especially to the vulnerable will affect their health conditions. Consequently, the suprachiasmatic nucleus controls the time a person sleeps. It tells the brain the amount of time someone will sleep and from the research, enough sleep makes a person stay healthy. The interference with the second process by for example light interferes with sleep and the person cannot stay normal as attributed. It is therefore important to not only the elderly to sleep at night and not during the day.
Anxiety disorder is a threat to enough sleep especially to the aging population (Bonder & Dal Bello-Haas, 2017). Logically, these people are not working and most of them have started developing fears that they will die at any time. They are not comfortable with their lives because they are mentally disturbed by financial problems, anxiety and ulcers thus they do not get enough sleep. Consequently, anxiety disorders among the elderly are caused by cultural and ethnic groups. Some individuals develop phobia which negatively affects their health conditions hence invulnerable to anxiety and fear. The human body is wired in the fact that, it connects with the brain to determine any type of reaction in the external environment. An event that occurs with the environment an individual is residing determines whether a person will incur stress or anxiety.
The elderly experience fluctuations of diseases such as Alzheimer's and dementia which are involved with the loss of memory. Alzheimer's individuals suffer from the disorder of forgetting easily and this disease is associated with aging. Alzheimer's begins from an early age and if there is no appropriate diagnosis, patients will transition to old age where they cannot remember even the right words to use when naming places or objects. They then forget their own language and instances that are associated with cultural and ethnic groups. On the same approach, dementia is caused by brain damage due to strokes or disorder that develops to a person during the old age. The condition makes an individual forget everything and therefore cannot even visualize events properly.
Health assessment helps to reflect disorder constraints of people and other problems that reflect from lack of enough sleep. Aging people need proper healthcare in order to provide preventive measures against threats especially to human health. At the same approach, the assessment accords disorders and chronic diseases diagnosis. This means that they assist to identify clinical problems, for example, the interference of a person's health in relation to manipulation in brain structure and the rhythm of the heart which helps in connecting a person's blood to the brain.
The assessment is also used to prevent the risky disorder from occurring later in life for example anxiety disorders and Alzheimer's (Alzheimer's Association, 2017). Very old people suffer from the disorder because they failed to prevent them at the early stages development. The assessment, therefore, leads to deterioration of the events which sometimes leads to the development of strokes, ulcers or stress. The most functioning elderly are easily identified by observing the characteristics of disorders and then referring to the medical analysis. It makes it probable to be diagnosed by medical practitioners.

In conclusion, the diversity in society illuminates how people are divided according to cultural and ethnic groups results in anxiety and dementia which affects individuals depending on the type of information they take to their brains. The competence to cultural diversities will ensure that all people respect one another reducing anxieties when people age because they feel comfortable within their place of origin.
