Community service is one of the ways that have profoundly changed my way of life, especially considering the bond that I have developed over the years. I have dedicated my life in serving, numerous communities, which I have no direct connection but the love of support and seeing others thriving in the right way, has been my motive and driving factor. I always feel thrilled in using my talent to help others in need, which give me an opportunity to learn more about the traditions, and the complex interaction of people from different backgrounds. In one of my routine voluntary and community services, I decided to challenge myself to any exposure, which I decided to undertake the presented opportunity in offering my services at the SPECTERS due to my undying love for animals.

The SPECTER foundation is an animal orphanage established in the late 1990s, to provide food, shelter and care for domestic abandoned animals. Despite the region being dominated by abandoned animals, the area is full of energy and life, where humans provide services that give life to animals. SPECTER is majorly dominated and operated by local church members, with a broader discussion about the underlying benefits of giving life to animals. Besides, the work of caring and feeding animals is highly discussed in the Bible, which has become one of the driving motives, for many church congregation, undertaking the opportunity.

The primary objective of the community service, in this case, was to eradicate the metal constrain in our community, that many individuals have adopted about animals being a burden. As the complexity of working swings into action, many individuals have developed a negative attitude towards keeping pets, as they deem them as a burden and ab obstruction to their daily lives. Through this, the community service opened my way of reasoning and integrating animals with the community. On the contrary, the program impacted me positively, which has affected my character until today. Through cleaning, and feeding the animals, I came to understand that, love and shelter are paramount to animals.

I was presented with an opportunity to reinforce the current talents that I had. Additionally, I had a chance to develop new skills on how to interact with different animals in the orphanage. On the contrary, I came to realize how empathetic I had become, due to assisting lonely animals. In the bottom line, it was more than caring for the animals in the community. The experience paved numerous opportunities, both in understanding and coordinating both human behaviors and animals. Despite working under a church in the community service, I understood that all leaving creatures need to get a higher amount of care, as a way of ensuring that every person or animal in the community has the opportunity to leave and enjoy the little opportunities that come their way.

What it means Giving Back to the Community

Giving back to the community is one of the ways of appreciating the effort and good community relationship. In my case, it was such an excellent opportunity having a chance to fully participate and share my talents with not only the community members but the animals in our community. Although most of the animals came from a broken home, I believe I gave my best to try and heal their precious memories from where they came from, and the relationship with their previous owners. My community to me means a lot, and we have developed, a rigid network of interaction, which is helping shape the children on the need to care and conserve nature.

Giving back to my community allowed me to openly demonstrate that caring for others is an impressive skill that goes beyond an individual. On the contrary, this helps me set standards, and inspire many members in my community, both old and young to identify the needy in the community and help them.

The importance of community service as a whole

Community service has played a tremendous role in our society, which has been utilized in an array of concepts. Among the critical concept of community services, is ensuring that everyone in the society or the given community has the privilege of identifying him or herself, as one of the community members. The essence of community services is to ensure that the needy in the community are identified, and given special attention, as a way of showing care to them. Despite the identification of the needy in society, community service, plays a critical role when it comes to the conservation of nature. In this case, community service extends its benefit to nature, through adopting conservative means to ensure that the humans and nature leave in a harmonious environment. As the world is becoming busier, there is little left for the needy and the elderly. On the contrary, nature is also affected, with little or no support coming on its way. As a result, community services, across the world have played a critical role in ensuring both humans and nature is given an opportunity once more.
