According to Meunier and Vachudova (2018), intergovernmental management is a critical aspect that authority uses to manage programs such as problem-solving through engaging legal, technical, and project tasks. In the current century, the federal government has been relying on the jurisdiction model as the form of intergovernmental management. In this case, local leaders collaborate with federal leaders to form a strategic team that focuses on improving the living standards of the people. The team gives local leaders an opportunity to negotiate and introduce different approaches based on the need of the people. Due to effective integration, local leaders have a clear understanding of various requirements that citizens need, and therefore, it is much easier for them to share with the federal government. According to Horn (2020), the effective application of the jurisdictional model has a significant impact on economic efficiency. The concept is brought by how the federal government creates a mutually beneficial solution, which understands and provides the needs according to the ground information. As such, the jurisdiction model creates a community-based center that ensures the needs of the citizens are the driving force toward national development. Additionally, the jurisdiction model focuses on public management, and hence, all groups of people are engaged. The technique ensures equal distribution of resources, which promotes the way the federal government deploys during negotiation and bargaining.
According to the U.S. Constitution, the federal government has the power on how to run and control activities in the country. Through the concept, authority and responsibility are supposed to be share up to the ground level. Based on the concept, the federal use jurisdiction model to strengthen and improve power allocation, and this is an effective way of supporting the constitution (Horn, 2020). In this concept, the government avoids the power being concentrated on particular areas, and this is a critical aspect that increases the rate of economic growth. Through the application of the jurisdiction model, leaders use the information to understand the key needs that citizens need (Meunier & Vachudova, 2018). Additionally, through the application of the jurisdiction model, federal leaders are able to promote and protect the interests of the citizens (Horn, 2020). In collaboration with the constitutions, leaders are prohibited from taking advantage of local resources and the opportunity to gain power. Therefore, every leader should be accountable for any form of mismanagement that is experienced in the office.
