Edward Snowden is a hero. The reason that Snowden would be described as a hero is that as a good citizen he was fully entitled to do as he did the moment he realized that things were not going as they were supposed to be, considering that the information was concerned with the well-being and security of all the people in the entire country. As a good citizen, one is entitled to be a part of the national security. The manner that world citizens are treated by the US is not fair; therefore, efforts should be made to improve the situation. It is a matter that assists in the classification of Snowden as a hero. The US could be undertaking these actions for reasons like an economic benefit that is impacted by social relations. States have to build and maintain stable economies but should not be at the expense of their citizens such that the wealthy keep their riches and the poor remain poor. There are many other ways that the citizens could be protected apart from engaging in a war, for example, creating awareness and bringing the issue to the concern of economic experts and engaging in peace talks to settle differences.

Transparency is a matter that if cultivated, would be useful in building a united nation and world at large. The government is obligated to distribute national resources equally because it is the role subjected to them by citizens. However, there is information that needs not to be disclosed to the public like development issues that still have to be finalized. I think that Edward did what he did because he felt entitled to do so as a good citizen. The reasons that he gave were valid. As a patriotic citizen that loves peace and security for all, being a person and hiding such a sensitive issue would not be the best step to take. It was not necessary that he was entitled to speak about the matter; he could have remained silent. Remaining silent would have left Snowden guilty for not doing what he thought was the right thing to do.

For some, Snowden did not do the right thing by disclosing the information since the government matters should remain private, and all the issues are always right. With a democracy, people have the right to express their opinions. If Snowden had not left the country, then his life would be threatened because he would be seen as a traitor for some, the case would be one of treason. Snowden should be let free as an ordinary citizen because he only performed a patriotic duty. Looking into the circumstances that the person undertook a particular action determines whether he is doing right or wrong. However, some cases go beyond the normal conditions making a person have to go beyond the rules.

What Snowden did should not be judged from a biased perspective but look at the right thing that an ordinary patriotic man would do not considering the ethics and fame issues. Government issues are sensitive and what Snowden did much as he disclosed the matter which political correctness would find not right from other perspectives it should be treated as the right thing. It is not always that the government chosen on behalf of the citizens has to have everything done the way that they want it. The manner that he did is to him was the most appropriate, although unethical was the right thing to do. Not everything illegal is immoral and vice versa. It all depends on the manner that people view aspects, and being biased is a hindrance to a fair judgment. Terrorism can be fought by holding negotiations other than fighting back, causing more deaths and loss of resources.
