With access to internet, I can do my homework without going to my local library but instead spending my time on the internet looking for information. Another way in which I use the internet is for entertainment purposes where I view television programs online, stream sports matches as well as listen to music. With the help of the internet, I can easily shop online as well as book for tickets which is more convenient.

The use of the internet has dramatically affected both my virtual and offline life emotionally, mentally as well as physically. Finally the social networking platforms results in lack of emotional connection which is as a result of decreased face-to-face interactions and communication skills.

The problem of computer viruses and malware can be reduced by installing anti-virus in electronic devices to ensure that they are safe and secure. The issue of cyberbullying can be reduced by maintaining high levels of social media privacy and thus not connecting with just anybody (Kim, 2017). Physical communication skills can be improved by reducing the amount of time spent on our electronic devices, which will, in turn, increase emotional connection.
