Date Arguments within a conversation and our own experience: "How do we target and train our youngest consumers?"

A conversation is the most basic and essential communication skill that involves interactive communication between two or more people in which ideas are exchanged, expressed, and the questions asked are answered. The type of conversation depends on the people one is engaged with during the conversation. In our case, we will be targeting young people; this will involve how they are trained to engage in a conversation. To teach a youngster one how to communicate depends on the age and what the topic. For the young, it might take a lot of work as they learn from seeing and experience from the adults they are engaged with. As it is through conversations, they may be able to cultivate their morals behaviors and even learn how to communicate and express their feelings (Ranadive).

Youngest consumers of conversations are formed by the people age at least three years and above who in the current system of education is believed to have started learning. It is during this age that they consume what they are fed with or what they are exposed to, which may affect them either positively or negatively. The material in which the young consumers use to learn on how to communicate is a significant consideration and the best tool for their learning. The effects of the conversation, which may either be positive or negative, also determine the training of the consumer of the conversation.

Targeting, on the other hand, involves making a thing or group of things your goal; you then select it or them and act upon. For our case, our target is the young who are the majority, and we should consider the following when targeting them to allow for proper training of conversation; exposure, materials of learning like the internet, effect of conversation, what is the best learning materials, and choosing a subject of mutual interest.

Exposure involves having the experience in something, wherein in this case, we will consider the things the young experience in order to have a good conversation. For example, exposure to technological resources like audiobooks to applications in which they can listen to or read along with the audiobooks to hear how the different words and phrases are pronounced. The applications like VoiceThread help the young, especially those in kindergartens, to improve their communication skills.

Materials of learning like films that model conversation skills also make them learn fundamentals of conversation, which involves giving- and- take exchange that constitutes of body language, eye contact, summarizing, paraphrasing, and responding.

The effect of a conversation involves what the conversation may bring, either positive or negative depending on the situation. In an environment where the conversation is negative, then the young generation tends to adapt to the negative parts and vice versa to positive conversations. Best learning materials also allows for the targeting of the young as it is through this they may learn. Using reinforced, active listening may help as communication is not all about speaking but also listening (Greene, Stuart, and April Lidinsky 300). Through listening, one can understand and even ask queries where they did not get it well. They may also use group presentations and assignments to sharpen their skills and even allow them to have an opportunity to debate their opinions, takes, and work together to achieve a goal (Croker, Denise and Wilder 300). Lastly, they can also learn by asking open-ended questions, which will allow them to get full information on their query.

Choosing a subject of mutual interest by being able to bring out the interests and not to divert on other issues other than the primary goal.

Training in simple terms involves repetitive doing of activity to learn something effectively. Young consumers are trained at an early stage to enable them to learn things early, having been said that it is that early stage that the brain cells tend to regenerate fast and one can learn very fast. It is essential to train them so that they can be able to choose how they use the information they have gathered either to learn or be warned of something majorly bad. Training allows the skills to stick as one does the activities.

From training, one could be able to at least know to how to use the information gathered either to learn and benefit from it or be warned against doing certain things during a conversation like exaggerating. It also allows one to bring out the points well either by summarizing; an overview of an entire argument or by paraphrasing, using of own words to express something that was written or said by another person. This will help clarify a message well and even give a more significant impact.

They can also be able to choose what to input and what to output depending on the conversation they are making with one another or with an adult. If they are talking of lets sex topic, which to many is not a topic to be discussed by the young, then they will be able to choose the right and correct words to use. Through this, they can be able to choose what they take in and what to disqualify. If they are using the internet, then it is best if they used it for gathering knowledge rather than using it for things like pornography, which may ruin their morals and even lead them to engage in immoral activities (ZHAO, Shi-Qi, Ting LIU, and Sheng LI 236).

Another advantage of training is it helps them to teach others what they have learned; this helps the content to stick as they share, thus making one fully aware of the information. This will involve presenting the information over several occasions using specific and straightforward terms to allow the young to gain an understanding of the topic.

Lastly, the age group should be a matter of concern during the conversion training. For example, talking to a young one of about six years about " birth control" will require one to be calm and composed so as not to make the young one feel that the topic which includes sex is linked to feelings of shame but one needs to speak freely so that the young one can get the message that: " one needs not to be nervous to ask queries dealing with sexual matters, rather be something one can talk freely about"

From the above arguments, it is clear that the young need to have specific targets and to train to allow them to have a great conversation, which is free and straight forward. And that they should adapt using the exposure they get, using of learning materials they have, have effective and open conversations and adapt the best learning materials and always choose a subject that is for the mutual interest of a good conversation.
