Introduction
From the videos watched, sex trafficking may have a more in-depth interpretation, then what is usually perceived to be. How we typically envision it to be is not the main issue with sex trafficking. Following the rise in demand for sex in western countries, it is essential to evaluate the situation further to understand the underlying driving factors. Individuals paying fees dully for sex also have a relationship with doing sex-trafficking business. The main point discussed is widening the capacity of understanding sex-trafficking by realizing the core issues involved. By considering the needs for sex workers' wants, it is essential to consider decriminalizing sex workers across the globe. There are several points discussed on how different individuals having sex punished.
Were the issues addressed from a biased or unbiased perspective? Were the presenters operating with an underlying agenda?
The issues were addressed in a biased manner. The speakers draw the audience through the story of a boy from Thailand and sent the story in a way that makes listeners rethink sex trafficking in the western region. The speaker can be described to be an activist trying to raise the necessary awareness to the public on sex-trafficking. She tries to expose new means for compacting the various perceptions of sex trafficking as well as helping hinder the growth of the sex-trafficking industry.
Was there agreement or disagreement among presenters regarding the main issues addressed?
I had watched "Is Anatomy Destiny" earlier; however, I was unable to gain an understanding of different gender-related possibilities, which I had not imagined earlier. After watching the video, I had felt sorry about the subject. I had earlier talk with various talks on gender identity. From the two videos, they do not necessarily agree. One talk discusses the implication of sex-trafficking on both gender and how they get psychological torture, trying to imagine how they can become sole bread-winners. While one talk balances the two concepts on gender, the other conversation does not include the necessary balance in understanding the gender concept.
What were the major moral/ethical issues related to these topics?
The major ethical issues, including the adoption of zero-tolerance in international organizations. As a result, all the staff will be required to behave professionally at every moment. However, the main question is whether treating others with dignity is possible. Whether a sex worker or being trafficked, everyone carries an excellent shame deal as well as being shamed by people who understand personal lifestyle, whether being forced or by choice. Regardless of the government acts and guidelines enacted, so long as there will be increasing demand, there will be continually growing demand (Fiala, 2018). In both videos, the concept of discrimination tends to play a critical role. The videos portray all sex workers as being criminals, deviants, and victims.
How does the concept of ethical relativism relate to this topic?
According to ethical relativism, it drives a belief that nothing can be considered to be right or wrong objectively. Depending on cultural or individual views, I can be readily determined whether it is right or wrong. There are underlying concerns on whether the perception is a reality. It may relate to the topic since diverse cultures perceive sex workers and sex trafficking are in different ways.
