Human Resources Management (HRM) involves strategies to manage the people's skills and talents and making sure they perform well to attain the organizational objectives. Human resources are elements that any firm values the most and in their absence, it would be hard for the company to make progress. Over my previous classes, I have realized that HRM constitutes numerous aspects that entail worker and labor relation, safety and health, reparation and benefit and human resource development. Besides, I was able to learn how human resource managers adopt affirmative action and how the recruitment process is conducted. In this paper, I will reflect on what good HR leadership is and provide an example of such a leader.

I had formerly worked with the HR department in a fast food outlet and they ensured that they hired skilled human assets to undertake assignments and responsibilities that would make the firm competitive in the market. The HR manager ensured that employees applied ethical culture within the firm and relate well to the senior management, other leaders and other workers (Bach & Edwards 2012). Through my analysis of HRM, I have learned that a good HR leader should accurately and strategically evaluate the function of training. This will make sure that the staff trained to end up being efficient and competent. Besides, before the company takes a step to assess the proficiency of the training program, they ought to measure its influence on workers.

Felica Fields is one of the best HR leaders in the motor industry and is currently heading the HRM department in Ford Motor Company (Redy 2016). She has played a key role in having a word with the workers to figure out what would work for them and what would not. Based on my experiences in the HR department, I learned that human resource leaders delegate tasks as a way of managing the myriad accountabilities within the workplace. Normally, good HR leaders call for meetings to update the organizational teams on the work that members have attained. I learned that Felica is a top performer because she attracts and retains top talent in the company. A good HR leader understands that the company's success relies on the workers and manpower (Bratton & Gold 2012). This is the reason why retaining competent and valuable also becomes a key obligation of human resource experts.

A good HR leader should also be able to see confidently a particular scenario inspires employee's professed dinginess of it. I learned that good HR leader is expected to be democratic leaders who hold the final accountability while delegating responsibility to others. With their leadership, the employees' communication, both upward and downward will be active (Stone & Dulebohn 2019). I also discovered that good HR leaders use affirmative actions to address the past and existing practices of discrimination. They are also expected to eliminate any existing influence of past historical practices.

Conclusion

Conclusively, my experience both in class and in the HR department informed me that human resource leaders pay an significant role in the development of employees and the attainment of corporation objectives. I learned that most HR leaders can promote confidence and inspiration both for themselves and for their team members. Felica's case in the Ford Motor Company is an ideal illustration of good HR leadership.
