Introduction

The entire globe entails a lot of coal, fuel, gas, and oil. However, fossil fuels are very significant because they create alliances and geopolitical divides and also their provision of vast profits. When it comes to the handling of the climate changes, they are something no one could ever consider (Bell et al., 2019). Burning fuels is never a challenge because individuals tend to hear more information concerning conservation programs, the growth of population, or renewable technology.

Fossil Fuel

To minimize the dependence of the United States on fossil fuels, a multipronged approach, together with the conservation of energy, will be sufficient. Also, the US needs to stop the subsidies of fossil fuel production that the federal states have had for centuries through the code of tax.

The efforts that the energy conservation team is putting to end the dependence of the United States on fossil fuels. The first way to achieving this is the usage of the energy in a more efficient way, which means using the longer-lasting bulbs instead of the light ones or minimizing the quantity of heat required, which is switching off the lights when no one is not using them in a room.

The second method of improving the conservation of energy is by use of energy audits. The purpose of the energy audit is to analyze and examine the consumption of electricity in various structures (Skovgaard & Van, 2019). By advancing the smart meters and also construction, it will minimize the amount of energy that is applicable in multiple regions.

Passive Solar Structures

Another massive way of conserving energy is the usage of passive solar structures. What happens in the passive solar structures is that the designs solar energy distribution during the winter season; it is in the form of heat, and in the summer season, it rejects the heat. The design of the buildings entails thermal insulation, windows placement, thermal type, glazing type, and an existing shading. The easiest way for the application of the new construction is retrofitting.

Renewable energy sources like wind, solar, and geothermal heat provide the globe with renewable energy. The resources of renewable energy are present in large regions. However, when it comes to fossil fuels, its concentration on specific areas hence creating competition and tension for the resources (Tosun & Wing, 2020).

About twenty-five, nations possess renewable energy, which contributes to about twenty-five percent of all the energy supplies. As the years go by, the markets of renewable energy will keep growing at a fast rate. For instance, countries like Norway and Iceland, their renewable energy is applied to the generation of electricity. Another nation like Denmark switched the energy supply to renewable energy before the year 2050.

Wind Energy

The fastest-growing market in renewable energy is wind energy. In the year 2015, about sixty-three Gigawatts of wind power gauge purchasing was online. It is the drive behind wind projects in the United States, Europe and Ireland, and Spain (Skovgaard & Van, 2019). The regions that are windier in the United States are the coasts; however, the strong winds come from Dakotas to the city of Texas.

The availability of the wind creates an opportunity for incentives and investors. Wind energy in a few years to begin might be about fifty percent useful in the United States of America as it has a high potential of growth and attracts many investors hence growing the nation.

Wind will not leave any hydropower behind. Most nations in the current times have got most, if not all, of their hydroelectric power from renewable sources. In the year 2015, the electricity that was generated by hydropower energy was about fifteen percent, while renewable was seventy percent (Bell et al., 2019). The production of hydropower is applicable in one hundred and fifty nations. When it comes to hydroelectric power, Chin is the biggest producer where it produces 721 terawatts per hour.

The sun is the main component that drives the planet’s energy, and that is where we get solar energy. The absence of the sun will make it impossible for the world to have power because hydropower and wind are in the form of solar energy. Let’s not forget that also fossil fuels are stored solar energy forms. Oil, coal, and gas that comes from the decomposed plant, which is as a result of the sun.

In the year 2015, the International Energy Agency claimed that ”The development of clean, inexhaustible, and affordable technologies on solar energy will, later on, have substantial long-time advantages. Due to that, it will enhance the nation’s energy security by relying on inexhaustible, indigenous, and the most significant, which is an import-independent resource to improve sustainability, minimize pollution and minimize the costs of the fossil fuels (Tosun & Wing, 2020).”

Conclusion

In conclusion, the United States can minimize the dependence on renewable resources by merely acknowledging the conservation of energy. To accomplish this, they should go through the subsidies of tax for attracting the investors and fueling the economics of the nation. The grants should be in consideration during the energy conservation construction by retrofitting.
