Trafficking of human organs is illegal as the poor are tricked with a small amount of money by wealthy individuals. This is the exploitation of the poor, given their status and social class. The shortage of organs for transplants all over the world has triggered the action, which is on the rise from the illegal syndicates who benefit at the expense of the poor. The various proposition by Gallagher indicates the need to entirely fight the practice, as explained in the article by Gallagher. There exist syndicates that are deeply rooted in the business and which coordinate the process. A trade involving human organs is dehumanizing and completely disregard the value of life hence the need to fight it entirely through joint multi-agency coordination.

The practice involves deceiving the poor and offering them little money in exchange for their organs. Their status makes them more vulnerable and get easily deceived when it comes to the procedure and the likely impact of the process. In addition, withholding their passports to keep them under control is against their rights of moving freely; hence they encounter the threat of violence when they try to back out before the process.

The donors remain threatened even after the process to ensure the secrets of the syndicate operations are not leaked outside. Additionally, the victims remain psychologically and physically harmed after the ordeal since they do not receive adequate medical care after the process. Gallagher goes ahead to argue that the victims remain traumatized and even get socially excluded as their self-esteem drops and eventually becomes hopeless with life.

The practice is conducted by doctors who the society expects to act responsibly and uphold their professions. This jeopardizes the hospitals within which such actions are carried, and this portrays the hospitals as not being sensitive to what they are meant to protect as the victims are not taken care off afterwards (Gallagher, 2010). When the involved doctors get convicted, an impression is painted to the general public regarding the profession meant to save and protect human life lawfully.

According to Gallagher (2010), the victims are held ransom in Cairo and are forced to sell their kidney in order to settle their debt which involves a large amount of money. They only get assistance and allowed to travel only upon donating their kidneys. Concert regarding the rise of the practice is of the higher rate as the right of an individual to make an informed decision is curtailed. Gallagher further argues that the well-regulated market for the organs has become unpersuasive paving the way for the illegal trafficking of the organs as the powers of preventing the trade diminishes. Ideally, as long as the process involves coercion, abuse of the vulnerable and deception, it should be discouraged jointly by all the relevant organizations as the rights of the victims are infringed (Gallagher, 2010).

Conclusion

In conclusion, the action of trade on organs illegally should be sanctioned by nations all over the world and countries to cooperate in ensuring those involved are prosecuted and face the full wrath of the law. The action should be criminalized by nations, and all those involved in aiding the process are punished. Through this measure and joint coordination, illegal trafficking can be controlled and reduced. Great care and protection should be accorded to the affected victims to ensure they return to normality, and they are not stigmatized in society. This will aid in self-realization after the ordeal.
