Part A: Description

There are several conflicts that have undergone throughout my life from one perspective to another. However, among these conflicts, there was one conflict that occurred between my client and me at our working place. The dispute was about a business partnership disagreement, this was when I sold the customer an electronic appliance, and he paid for the television set and confirmed it was functioning well. After issuing the customer with the electric device, he later came back to claim that the television set was Brocken before he purchased the product.

The customer was not ready to hold any meaningful conversation with me as he was claiming that the gadget already was broken before he purchased it from our stores. With the continued confrontation between him and me, I was forced to call our manager, who tried to confront the customer on the issue. Later we decided to take the loss and keep the broken television set in the store. I was frustrated and annoyed to be accused of falsely y by the customer. The root cause of the conflict was negligence from the customer. After he purchased the television set, he accidentally destroyed the set and claimed it was our mistake.

Part B: Analysis

The outcome of the conflict was not effectively handled; this is because the customer was not able to be told his problem as far as the conflict is concerned. The conflict also led to various outcomes such as false accusations, demotions, and reputational destruction. The various outcome that arises from the confrontation that can lead to conflict in the organization in one perspective to another. However, having a battle with the customer, I was agitated and angered by his response to the issue. Going through this experience taught me many things about how to hold a peaceful and productive conversation with other people. To me, it was worse because I was a respectable person in the organization by my fellow workmates; however, this incidence reduced my standards. The obstacles that the organization should introduce to prevent the conflict in the future is to deploy the use of CCTV cameras, customer receipts, and warranty allocations.

Part C: Assessment

There are several lessons that I have learned about conflict as a challenge in our society current. The conflict challenge brought an increase of awareness of the problem that our society and community is undergoing through. The conflict also enhances a desire to find a solution to a challenge for a better day. With conflict, we are encouraged to change our society to be a better place for everybody. The conflict also opens our eyes to embrace new ideas that come from other people based on the subject of discussion (Wallensteen, 2018). The conflict also creates opportunities to communicate with other people and listen to their opinions based on the topic of discussion. Teaches flexibility and helps us in setting limits.
