Introduction

BoldFlash is a storage device organization headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts. The firm manufactures various storage and memory flash components for different devices, including smartphones, mp3 players, and floppy disks. The company currently focuses on flash memory, a solid-state drive that allows users to store data without moving parts and is commonly used in smartphones, cameras, and tablets (Beer & Shelton, 2012). Despite its global expansion and improved performance since its establishment, BoldFlash has been experiencing both market share and growth rate decline due to multiple problems within the company. Among the significant issues facing the company is communication among the four components of management and, as such, prevents the company from meeting its objectives. This report outlines strategies that I will use to train the Mobile Division management team in the organization and, more importantly, communicating the new guidelines.

Training Plan: Communication

Effective communication is essential in an organization's performance as it leads to strong teamwork and achievement of the desired goals. Among the primary strategies to be incorporated in all the focus areas towards training the audience is the use of both verbal and visual communication in the right manner and depending on the type of message. This is because, as McLoughlin (2018), understanding the specific message to communicate through the right media ensures that the target audience gets the message. This strategy is appropriate to the mobile division management team as they will be able to get all information accurately and, as a result, relate well towards accomplishing the different tasks for the success of the company (Duggan, 2015).

Another essential strategy that I will incorporate in all the focus areas while training the target audience is the top-down communication approach. As McLoughlin (2018) provides, this strategy entails communicating instructions and other information within an organization in a hierarchical structure. Lack of proper communication at BoldFlashcan be linked to a lack of adequate communication between the top level to the lower level. For instance, as outlined in the case study, among the most critical messages failed to reach the entire management, because some of the members were unable to attend meetings accordingly. As such, there should be a collection of the most relevant information from every level of the organization and distributed and delivered appropriately to all the team members in the lower levels (Anthony, 2014). This strategy will be appropriate to the target audience of training, as they will be able to incorporate ideas from every level of the team and, as such, improve the performance of the team.

Training Plan: Collaboration

Collaboration among the team members is imperative towards achieving the desired organizational goals. More importantly, team members in different geographical locations need to collaborate to ensure that they work according to the objectives established by the company (Anthony, 2014). The mobile division in BoldFlash experience a communication challenge attributed to poor collaboration and therefore hindered the company from attaining the set goals. To communicate with all the focus areas, I will incorporate collaboration with all the team members at every level of the company. This strategy will play a massive role in emphasizing the importance of effective communication among team members. The team members will further collaborate towards attaining a change in mobile division management. This will entail reviewing their behaviors and approach to the information presented to them and, importantly, to achieve respect from all the divisions.

I will also incorporate the collaboration between the BoldFlash's management and the mobile division management towards establishing an active channel of communication. Attaining an effective communication between these two levels in the organization will act as an example for the rest of the organizations in the company. This would further help eliminate the existing challenges in the company since the collaboration will ensure that not only the entire management but also each of the team members (Anthony, 2014). Moreover, as a strategy, all the successful collaboration will be rewarded and further the workspaces designed to support and promote teamwork. The collaboration strategy between the team members and the management will be appropriate since it would enable good relations in the entire organization and further to the customers.

Training Plan: Methods

The primary target audience that I want to communicate to is the mobile division, management team. With an intent of creating awareness to the audience about all the areas of focus, communication will be critical to ensure success in the process. As such, effective communication in the training process is the most significant training approach that I will apply. Besides, I intend to use establish productive activities that the mobile division management team could use to create a relationship among themselves and, as a result, improve the communication in the group and further create a significant change to the organization. In this case, the team can be set up with a different department in the organization and allowed to solve a specific problem by communicating with each other in the same setup. This will enable the members involved to share ideas ineffective communication. As McLoughlin (2018) provides, this training method is appropriate to different departments in an organization as it enables bridging of communication gaps within the organization and, in turn, create trust among them, which is essential towards accomplishing relevant tasks in the organization.

As another training method, organizing seminars for the team will enable my communication to the mobile management team. The seminar will also consider inviting the rest of the stakeholders in the company as a way to enhance the training towards effective communication. Importantly, I will consider the primary target audience in the seminar to ensure that the relevant information is communicated to appropriately delivered. As McLoughlin (2018) suggests, seminars create a sense of serious concentration among the members and will, therefore, ensure that the training process is effective. Moreover, the seminar will also consider different communication channels to the individual audiences and, as such, attain effective delivery of the training session.

Specific Gidelines

To enable successful training in the target audience and communicate the new guidelines, a particular framework should be applied effectively. To begin with, I will point out and establish the existing problem along with the resultant outcome that I expect from the process. As outlined in the case study, the main problem in the target audience is ineffective communication. I will then endeavor to establish themes that I will use to reach the training audience, which, in this case, entail the managers at the mobile division. The training process will, therefore, entail solving the identified problems by communicating the relevant strategies. More importantly, I will establish different modes of communication that would enable the audience to relate, not only to themselves but also to the rest of the stakeholders in the organization.
