My registered area of study is Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, with the concentration being system analysis and design. There are numerous reasons for pursuing the course and concentration; however, most importantly, it offers development opportunities. It takes the form of professionalism, comprehension of system analysis and design, and finally, socioeconomic status. The course provides numerous career opportunities due to its diverse nature. However, further exploring the course may offer better opportunities to comprehend the multiple systems in the technology industry.

Concertation

As previously mentioned, there are numerous career opportunities that a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology; however, the concertation system analysis and design offer a platform to further studies. The technology industry has been an area of personal interest, with my childhood being the period of transition to the digital age. Numerous small businesses are currently being outperformed by online companies, which were not possible in the early 2000s. The impact of technology on other sectors offers it the opportunity to grow with the support of different industries. The reasons for choosing the concentration, system analysis, and design, was based on prospective employers and future possibilities of the industry. The current technology sector, which is based in the digital era, is a newly introduced industry with less than five decades of existence. Therefore, it presents the opportunity to grow and offer more in terms of new technologies and systems to aid in the development of society and the economy. However, to achieve the opportunity to explore the possibilities of system analysis and design, it requires the availability of creativity and support. Due to the necessities presented, the course was also pursued to attain employment under International Business Machines Corp. (IBM). The company has both heritage and opportunity to develop my skills for the industry.

Transcript Studies

Each of the transcript credits is essential for both contributing to my concentration as well as educational objectives. For example, in Computer Hardware, where the score attained was 4-points, system analysis, and design as a course heavily relies on it. Computer hardware addresses the physical or hardware aspect of information technology. It includes the various equipment necessary for computers or networks to be functional. From an educational perspective, appreciating the different attributes of computer hardware lightens the load when introducing system analysis and design. On the other hand, introduction to business, where the score attained was 3-points, was taken to fulfill General Education requirements. Before any occupation, it is essential to understand the basics of business. Entrepreneurship is the motivator of capitalism, which is the country’s core economic and political system. Finally, the introduction to multimedia contributed to general learning. The score attained was 3-points; the objective of such courses is to offer a basic introduction to the various software-based tools that apply to computers. For an in-depth course in Information technology, the rationale of the course outline is to introduce students to the broad and diverse aspects of computers. The transcripts identify the strategy assumed by the learning institution. By introducing the basics, all students have a level opportunity to exploit and better understand information technology and its impact on the business sector. For instance, an introduction to business as well as computer software and hardware are strategies of allowing students to identify their area of interest.

Credits by Evaluation

The units selected directly contribute to my personal goals of attaining my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. They offer an introduction and detailed analysis of system analysis and design both directly and indirectly. Additionally, with introductory units on the fundamental aspects of the course, such as basic electrical engineering, it satisfies general education requirements. On the other hand, units such as matrices and theories of algebra contribute to general learning as they are part of high school syllabuses only advanced. The average score as per my CLEP credits demonstrates my dedication to attaining my educational, personal, and career goals. Though the scores are not a depiction of my potential, they are a representation of how much I can improve on my educational career and attain the identified goals. The course units have offered detailed information previously not available on system analysis and design. The course has notably numerous practical courses such as mathematics, basic electrical engineering. It requires the comprehension of multiple mathematical and other math-based equations that are incorporated in other units. For example, mathematical formulas are also applicable to the basic electrical engineering unit. Therefore, each of the units is interlinked, meaning they share equal expectations from students as depicted with the scores.

SMT Guidelines

From a personal analysis of the course outline as well as expectations of my concertation, it is sufficient to state that it has met the set requirements, and it portrays potential for more. It has allowed for the personal development of a working understanding of the various vocabulary of the field. Additionally, it has also offered an understanding of the various fundamental principles and their applications. The appreciation of the course work is not only based on theory but also three years of experience in the field. It has also allowed for further development of knowledge and techniques critical for data acquisition and interpretation by applying for several courses in computers. The course has also allowed the development of mathematical skills and erudition through discrete mathematics. Communication is an essential skill needed for a successful occupation. Furthermore, the information technology industry is writing, and reading-intensive and the skills are attained from data and telecommunications units. Upper-level mathematical solutions also require justification for the solutions hence contributing to the development of communications skills. My course work demonstrates both the breadth and depth needed to complete the required program for Science, Mathematics, and Technology.

Concentration

Under systems analysis and design, human-computer interactions are among the core attributes of the course. In the practical field, systems analysis develops high quality information systems by combining the human aspect and data to support the business. Units such as data and telecommunications play a critical role in better understanding the needs of technology users. Through data and telecommunications, large sums of data can be collected and assessed for later application with systems design. Systems design, on the other hand, takes advantage of units such as object-oriented programming, which directly estimates the data collected in the system and uses it to orient it to the needs of the user. Therefore, the units meet the concertation’s’ human-computer interaction guideline.

General Education Requirements

General education is an elementary curriculum that forms the fundamental foundation of the program. The Units that allow for the guidelines to be met include matrices and theory of algebra. Though the unit is essential academically and culturally, it also plays a critical role in the completion of the degree program. Coupled with basic electrical engineering, they allow for the development of the introductory skills and familiarity needed either in University, career, or adult life.

Summary and Conclusion

The scores presented in the transcripts are sufficient evidence of my dedication to better understanding information technology and how it can be exploited for better understanding and commercial purposes. By continuing with the course, I dedicate my time to understand better how the technology sector has the opportunity to evolve. Expanding my knowledge increases the probability of attaining my personal goals. After graduation, I intend to start a project that will be used as an application for employment. The objective is to offer something unique but creative, allowing for professional guidance and acceptance.
