The ancient Egyptians achievements motivated the labor crews to construct the pyramids. The quarrying, as well as the practical techniques of construction, significantly supported the construction of the pyramids. Other factors that motivated the labor crew include the effective system of irrigation, medicine as well as the production in agricultural ("Ancient Egypt," 2001). Also, the new form of literature, as well as glass technology, motivated the labor crews to construct the pyramids (Naked Science, 2016). The labor crews were motivated by various factors despite several challenges experienced.
Construction of pyramids was associated with various challenges, including administration and social status. Pharaoh, the absolute monarch of the country, was in complete control of the land. Therefore, the construction of the pyramids faced the administration challenges as well as the bureaucracy in managing the affairs of the state. Other problems included transportation of the quarries. It was difficult to transport the solid blocks that weighed more than a hundred tons. With the construction preferring quarries of limestone, its transportation was a challenge (Mummification (How an Ancient Egyptian Mummy was Made), 2018). Another challenge was the safety of the labor crews. The development of the pyramids was associated with various dangers, especially during the flood season, which could cause drifting as well as grounding.
The challenges associated with the construction of the Ancient Egyptian are similar to the construction of monumental architecture today (Scientists Open, 2014). The difficulties of transportation, as well as safety, are the most common in modern day construction ranging from construction of a church, a school, or even a stadium. However, the construction of the monumental architecture today is well administered, and the issues of social status are not reiterated.
Conclusion
In conclusion, the construction of the pyramids entailed ancient Egyptians achievements ranging from agricultural produce to systems of irrigation. The labor crews were motivated by glass technology as well as other factors. However, several challenges including administration issues, safety, and transportation, affected the labor crews significantly.
