Introduction
The diversity concept encompasses respect and acceptance. It means accepting that every person is unique, as well as recognizing the individual’s differences. These can be in the dimensions of ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, religious beliefs, race, sexual orientation, political beliefs, socio-economic status, or other ideologies (Gurchiek, 2019). Diverse interpretations are essential in every environment since it enables understanding between different people. This paper focuses on ways of creating an environment more supportive of diverse interpretations, ways of changing current practices in the environment for diverse to be expressed, and the challenges of creating interpretations in a mathematical setting.
Supportive Environment
There are various ways of creating an environment supportive of diverse interpretations. One way is by adjusting the talent acquisition strategy. It is essential to ensure the organization is recruiting people from various sources. However, this could comprise universities, diversity networks, different job posing websites, and job agencies (Gurchiek, 2019). Implementing strategic human possessions strategies will convey an applicants’ diverse pool. Another way is to diversify all teams of the project and it is good to allow off time for cultural and religious holidays. The team of management in every environment needs to display inclusion suitable practices as well as being a role model to others.
Neighboring Company
Currently, in a neighboring company, there is a plan to change the current product and the existing management since it is experiencing a deficit (Nicol, 2012). As a result, the company has started recruiting new employees who have experience in the new product but they are favoring men over women were several positions are given to men. This can be changed by giving both genders equal opportunities provided they meet the qualifications and by this, diverse possibilities will be expressed.
Creating Interpretations
Various things are challenging when creating interpretations in a mathematical setting. It is difficult to make connections to the contexts of the real-world where documents for mathematics education in curriculum or standards form are emphasizing connections since it is an essential process in learning as well as doing mathematics (Nicol, 2012). Another challenge is the implementation of a new curriculum where implementing reform-oriented curricula for mathematics is the focus of several studies on mathematics educators.
Conclusion
Diverse interpretations should be encouraged in various environments. Especially in the working environment, it helps workers to understand their colleagues hence making the working environment convenient for everybody. When selecting every environments’ employees to perform certain duties on a project, it is essential to ensure the selected people are of different races, ages, and genders.
