This paper will reveal the things learned from a session about the importance of cultural diversity in the quality of healthcare. The conference was held on 6th of April 2018 at YSU University. The course introduced the difference between cultural awareness, encounter, and knowledge. The effect of ethnicity and language barrier to effective communication were also discussed. The primary objective was to understand the importance of diverse culture in providing quality healthcare. Cultural practices influence the identity and behaviors of a person. Cultural diversity helps people to appreciate, accept and adapt to other cultures. Interacting with people of various ethnic groups, races, and religions has become important in the world today. Culture diversity helps in learning of different cultural backgrounds and enhances effective communication. Cultural diversity training can improve the inclusion of minorities in the society. The most important way people can use to understand other cultures is accepting the fact that there are many different cultures around the world. Positive thinking towards the different cultures and having a diverse culture of people can improve the way of life. A person may not know the history or the geography of a culture but through interacting with people from other cultures, gives the person an opportunity to learn about the religion, beliefs, customs, geography, and values of different countries. Understanding different cultures can also encourage a person to have diverse workmate groups of people from different ethnicities, religions, and races.

Cultural bias is where we tend to judge other wonders in view of our own social inclinations, or by the standards of a specific culture. This happens because of varieties in the examples in which people communicate. There are frameworks (specialized, semantic, social, social, financial, and others) that are intrinsic to specific gatherings. It is when there is trade of correspondence, or through any presentation to an outside social condition, that individuals have a tendency to build up a social bias. Therefore, understanding of different cultures is also essential in overcoming cultural bias. Cultural biases are reduced through traveling to areas of different cultures and even reading and learning a foreign language. There are many ways to be exposed to different cultures. Respecting values and belief and be aware of other peoples' cultures make it easy to work in peace and to provide better services efficiently. A lot has been learned having spent time in a country with a diverse culture.

Conclusion

As a result of my experience and interaction with people of different cultures, I have learnt that cultural competency in human services is clear when individuals of all societies are dealt with in a way that certifies their value and jam their nobility. Cultural competency is essential in each part of our open lives, yet it is an urgent expertise for medicinal services suppliers, who bargain day by day with differing individuals throughout everyday life and passing circumstances. Cultural competency isn't simply mindfulness or affectability to various societies. A socially able supplier thinks about various social points of view and has the awareness to utilize that information successfully, in multifaceted circumstances.
