Part Three
It seems very reasonable to wake up every day heading to school, to the supermarket, or going to work. Imagine driving for half an hour and reaching the destination safe and sound; I bet that is a bright day. Now, let's focus on the bigger picture, you are driving with the cellphone on your hands, changing the radio station, and eating some snacks. The bright look of the day turns dark after withdrawing the focus on the road and crashing into someone's vehicle leading to death. Due to the carelessness in driving, you are fined, issued a ticket, high car insurance, a case in the court, and most significantly left with the guilt of ending someone's life. This is the reason why the state of Florida is not doing enough to inhibit distracted driving since many teens involved in car accidents. Nonetheless, this state has attempted to endorse some law and regulations that aid in reducing the mortality rate as a result of road carnage.
Part Four
All over the state of Florida, people are in the habit of distracted driving. For instance, about 3,154 individuals died in 2013, and 424,000 others left injured from accidents that involved distracted driving ("Traffic Safety Facts: Research Note"). Many people have gotten into accidents resulting in deaths and other disasters due to distracted driving. Everyone can be tempted to check on their cellphones, eat a burger, or even listen to some music. Moreover, teenagers, school students, or any other human is in the struggle to catch up with the new technological advancements forgetting that they are on the road that has many users. Everybody seems ignorant that there is another user on the same road who might be doing the same thing while driving. Consequently, everybody on the road is not vigilant as they should be.
A single interruption can lead to huge distractions, for instance, checking on a text message from a relative. It might feel okay to keep in touch with the people in one's circle of life, but eventually, one may get pulled over by the police or crash into a car. When lucky one might pass the police, and when it becomes a habit, it might not last long; maybe it can be the last moment of one's life. However, there are several ways out of this vagueness. The most important means of breaking this cycle of distraction is an effort of every individual to play a part in this diversifying action by avoiding distractions when driving and taking the responsibility of downing any interruption ("Distracted Driving"). One can become a distraction-free driver by putting the cellphone in a purse or somewhere that one won't feel tempted to use it. More so, one should wait to reach the destination to eat the snacks carried, and ensure that the radio is set on the desired station before starting to drive or putting a disc in. The most crucial thing is to be watchful of other road users and concentrate on the road and one's environment. It is also essential to keep in mind that safety on the road requires little efforts.
