Economists claim that the information technology sector is a fast and dynamic occupational field since it creates numerous vacancies yearly. Most occupations in the information technology sector deal with the maintenance, management, creation, and design of various modules of the system. Most of the information technology careers have numerous opportunities such as system analyst, digital media experts, software engineers, and database administrators. For that reason, the vacancies in the information technology field can be classified into four key pathways: digital and web communication, software development and programming, information services and support, and network systems.

The dominance of the information technology professions has been promoted by various factors.
