Belize city has been prone to hurricanes that have always compromised the city's drainage systems, fresh and clean water points, and roads. Many buildings have been reported to be washed away any time the storm occurs. As a police officer, prevention of the re-occurrence of the damaging storm should be controlled to avoid repeated damage (Beddington et al., 2012). For instance, as a police officer, it will be appropriate to focus on the reconstruction of double standards bridges, roads, homes, business structures, and home structures. Amid speculating the damage caused by the storm concerning capital and finance (Abedi, Khan, Ansari & Amir, 2011). A robust report on financial anticipation to solving the issue, operational plans concerning the status of the potential repairs, and improvements need to be done to ensure that the solution is resolved completely. Preparation for the future re-occurrence needs to be enhanced to provide that in case the problem repeats itself, then the structures to be put in place should be able to sustain the energy associated with the storm.

Police officers should investigate the intensity of the storm and the severity of factors that can be altered to reduce the weight of the storm on the structures to be reconstructed. A better approach requires proper analysis, planning and enough finance to foster for the plan into action. Project status should be assessed to ensure the preparedness for implementation is sufficient and well managed (Barthel & Isendahl, 2013). Proper FEMA tracking forms should be accompanied with the investigators on the ground as a way of ensuring that the required data is recorded concerning the storm, its forecasted effects if it re-occurs, and coming up with documented figures on all ways possible to solve a problem anticipated to happen if such a storm re-occurs.

Police investigations should be launched to enhance short and long-term plans for controlling further effects of the storm if it re-occurs. Police investigators should also speculate to outsource the skills that the previous constructors of the structures employed while laying down the arrangements. The analysis of whether disaster plan was considered when constructing the structures that were swept away by the storm should be made to ensure that the reconstruction considers all the deliverables for a secure structure the region concerning the vulnerability of storm occurrence.

The purchase of builders should be analyzed to ensure that they meet the standards that can overcome the force of any storm that has more intensity than the previous storm. Volunteers should also be categorized according to their skills and expertise. Proper analysis of the situation will guarantee Belize protection from any re-occurrence of the storm that happened in December 2011 (Becker, Young, Warner & Zissener, 2013). Roads construction should be analyzed to ensure that the double standards assure the people that there will be no wash away if such a storm could re-occur. There should also be an alternative route whenever there is a massive storm that might compromise the traveling of people through Belize (Becker et al, 2013). The performance of the experts on the ground will guarantee the success of the project to ensure that the reconstruction provides safety from any form of the storm that is larger than the December 2011 destructive storm.

Conclusion

In summation, as a police administrator, I will ensure that all the experts on the ground are qualified and disaster management team must be conversant with the situation and the magnitude that led to the total destruction of Belize. In that perspective, there will be a proper way of handling the hurricanes and the unprecedented effects.
