Introduction

Among the many materials that contribute to the design of a complete interior, textile fabrics have a particularly important role. They introduce a sense of softness, curvature, and flexibility into space, making a hard or bare looking room seem soft, comfortable, and humane. The quality of upholstery says so much about the quality of a place (Bidoki et al., 2005). Therefore, an individual needs to understand the nature and function of different fabrics before making a decision on which one to use. Examples of such materials include twill, crepe, muslin, chiffon, cashmere, voile, and calico. Upholstery fabrics used in interior decor have different colour patterns texture.

Twill

The twill fabric has patterns of diagonal parallel ribs, and because of the diagonal parallel structure, they always drape nicely. Twill weaving goes well when interwoven with plain weaves and satin. The fabrics are durable, and hardware will be reused for furnishing when used as plain weaves, the warp and the weft are aligned to form a simple crisscross pattern, which Gives it a parallel. Twill fabrics have an excellent surface and texture and are commonly not printed. The camouflage well and recover quickly from wrinkles. The material is also more durable but relatively expensive.

The material can be of wool or polyester.

To maintain the material, it should always be dry clean because it is delicate and preferably and washed. Iron only when necessary on warm heat, using a press cloth. Use delicate detergent to avoid fading. Crêpe should be wrung gently and should be left to dry in open-air.
