Breakfast is many things for me, ranging from the liver, eggs, and grits, but there are some familiar touchstones like cold pizza and cold cereals. Perhaps, it is surprising that sometimes I disregard my mom's injunctions about this important meal of the day and end up not taking breakfast on some days of the week cold cereals always finds its way on top of my list whenever I make breakfast. Sometimes I eat eggs with or without ham or bacon. Toast, bagel, pastry, or muffins are the least considered on my list. At some point, I find myself eating cold pizza during this hour of breakfast. Eating breakfast is quite common for me since I apt to have enough time. The list of my breakfast meals also entails pancakes with gravy, hot tea, apple turnovers, mashed potatoes, and hard-boiled eggs, just to name but a few.

The kind of food I eat and where I eat lunch depends on the day of the week. I like eating sandwiches for lunch. I don't have a portion of better food for lunch. I prefer sandwiches because they are easy to make and I can carry them with them. Sometimes I take a combination of soup and salad. My list I cannot fail to include snacks since I like to eat in between meals. My snacks comprise of trail mix, granola bars, sliced fruits, and potato chips. Snacks always help me to avoid hunger during the busy day. Sometimes when I do not have a long day, I take fast foods like chicken nuggets, French fries, and hamburgers. Although fast foods are not healthy for me, I sometimes consider them because they are cheap. During the weekends, when I am free, I usually go out for lunch. My weekend is for brunch. If you have not heard of brunch, it is a meal between breakfast and lunch, thus the name brunch.

During dinner, my most common combination is chicken, rice, and salad. The second combination on my list is potato, beans, and cheese, while the combination, which I consider least is that of bread, bell peppers, and eggs. My dinner is usually not complicated. Beef, fries, quinoa, spinach, turkey, pork, and couscous are part of my diet during this time. Since I am not an alcoholic, I only take soft drinks and water.

On average, the amount of money I spend on food every week ranges from $50-$60dollars. I obtain most foods from farming, but in most cases, I buy from general stores and groceries. Generally, on average, I usually toss out four spoiled food products from my fridge every week. I rarely buy more food than I cannot consume, but sometimes it happens that the food I obtain may be in surplus since food stores are beautiful at the moment I am shopping.

On a day, I can drink a gallon of water. However, this includes water from foods and beverages. Almost fifty gallons of water go to waste every week. The majority of freshwater supply usually comes from the surface that comes from snow and rain that runoff into rivers and streams. Sometimes I buy bottled water from the shops. I would like to consider sustainability while purchasing food. In my case, I am not sustainable in the choices of my diet. More food options that are protective of the environment should be available. I would like to buy food by considering where it is produced when making my purchase decisions. Supporting local businesses is also my reason for purchasing locally.

Sustainable consumption is good for the environment. Sustainable food products are economically viable and socially equitable while meeting basic human needs. I would increase food sustainability by consuming much of the plant-based food products. Food sustainability can be improved through gardening, local eating, and using natural and organic products. Anyone can quickly adopt the practices at home or in grocery stores. Reducing water use through water-efficient appliances, water quantity monitoring, and the use of waterless toilets is a critical part of water sustainability in the domestic supply.
