For me to become successful at Wallace Community College Selma, I have to be active in class and be responsible for my life. I have to make sure that I will never miss a class, no one else will control my life, and no one else has to tell me what I should do. Also, I have to make sure that I do not fail in my subjects and always try to do my best where I notice that I am failing. I have also set some educational goals and objectives that I have to achieve before I leave college. These goals and objectives are the ones that motivate me every day, and they also help me to understand why I am in college. I also realized that for me to achieve my educational goals, I have to be very organized. This means that I have to find a quiet place and make some free time where I can study and also do my assignments.
For me to become a registered nurse and successful, I have to manage my time perfectly. I should make sure that I am not late for my classes, get enough sleep so that I can be ready for the next day and at least try to study for 20 hours a week. When I am done doing my assignments, I present them to the teacher on time and ensuring that the assignments look sharp and neat. During my free time when doing my assignments, I have to do them in a good way because sharp assignments will be a reflection of hard work. When I am in class, I will make sure I will ask questions whenever I am not understanding the topic and always answer the questions frequently. This will help me to be more active in class and also remember whatever I have been taught when doing my exams or assignments.
Another thing, I realized that most students do not know how to study. I will have to search online so that I can understand the tricks and tips of studying that help a student to become successful. I also need to avoid the bad company that might make me not to achieve my goals. This means that I have to be focused and choose my friends wisely who are always supportive and not the ones who will mislead me into bad decisions. Most of the students postpone doing their work because college can be a fascinating place where a person that no one is controlling their life anymore and they end up engaging themselves in worldly pleasures, forgetting their studies. I have to make sure that I avoid procrastination, and make sure that I have completed the task awaiting for me before I engage myself in other irrelevant activities.
Conclusion
In conclusion, for me to become successful, I have to distinguish good and bad friends so that I can keep my circle real. As for my dream of becoming a registered nurse, I have to be focused on my education, be self-motivated and not waiting for motivation from other people.
