Introduction
Child development is a vital aspect to observe and analyze. It progressively occurs in stages. The different development forms in a child are manifested in their cognitive, psychomotor, and psychoanalytic engagements. The latest understanding of child growth and development links their ability to master and apply their skills to their future interests. It also helps in determining their skills and potentials. The psychomotor and psychoanalytic skills nurtures their talents into concrete applications.
In the narrative observation, some are singled on their outstanding manifestation of skills and abilities out of the eight children in the display.
Accuracy
The first observation illustrates accuracy by observing the child's ability to safely pack the toy car in a space close to the fence. The packing location would enable the child to effectively pick up the dried leaves (Moore et al., 2019). The manifestation of such psychomotor skill coupled with cognitive ability, has revealed the child's confidence and capability to apply thinking strategy in decision-making. The child’s manifestation of body language and facial expressions has shown his ability to successfully disseminate an intent and communication. In essence, children can easily engage in verbal and non-verbal responses to communicate effectively.
Validity
Logically, the child managed to attend to his tasks systematically. Such confirms the child’s ability to be rational in undertakings. The ability to ride a toy manifest a factual practice developed through his psychomotor skills. The child had mastered the technique and knowledge of driving as he could move the toy car forward. By picking the dried leaves and placing them in the toy car's storage space, he has shown the ability to discern the purpose of storage space in a car. A real manifestation of cognitive ability.
Reliability
Reliability in the observation is shown in the child portraying what he has been observing to real practice. The child’s outstanding abilities must have been natured by the environment and nurtured in practice. His manifestations have a reliable source and are objected to molding his personality. The skills expressed in the child are essential in his future accomplishments, like decision making, problem-solving, and research.
The second observation, the learning story, details the essential aspect of positive reinforcement in nurturing a child's nurturing skill or ability. In understanding human growth and development, positive reinforcements motivate and help improve a behavior (Delgado et al., 2019). It is corrective and helps in discarding unwanted skills or characters.
Accuracy
The children's ability to thread through the blocks using the flexible green threads is a manifestation of accuracy developed from their psychomotor skills. As a result, it improves their abilities in concentration, eye coordination, and stability. To achieve it, threading through the blocks requires a psychomotor skill supported by a strong cognitive ability.
Validity
Children's engagement in making patterns and sorting them in colors depicts a good skill obtained from what they observe in their lives. Using the colored patterns and that shows real equipment like the pipe cleaners is a good practice that enriches their creative thinking and developing their sufficient motor abilities. The essence of positive reinforcements enables them to become more innovative in developing cognitive innovations.
Reliability
Comprehensively, a cultural impression is depicted in the children's abilities to thread through the blocks and make paints by sorting and using the appropriate colors. The testing of the skills in the children has portrayed a consistent result. It is proven that the positive reinforcements in the form of motivations and encouragements are essential in building a real character and skill (Storli et al., 2019). The expression of the improved skills is manifested by subjecting the children to test-retest reliability when provided with the play doughs and cutters. Then the retest intends to observe their cognitive mastery and improvement of the fine motor skills. Notably, it projects to enhance their problem-solving abilities, hand-eye coordination, and creative thinking.
Finally, children experience developmental traits in several ways. Some of the forms of the developments occur naturally, while some are nurtured. The psychomotor domains in a child are adopted through observation or nurturing. As a result, it projects and shapes the future ability of the child. The social and cultural influences on behavior are critical in learning. The diversity in culture leads to varying experiences and skills in children. Social and cultural values primarily influence the psychometric and cognitive aspects of a child in their environment.
