Introduction

The ending of The Great Gatsby is somehow mysterious since Gatsby's death is associated with his struggle to climb the social ladder, but in the end, he ends up dead. The best ending could be great Gatsby achieving his preferred social class as he had struggled to climb the social ladder by all means. An aspect of Henry meeting the solemn father of Gatsby who is an old man and who placed hope in his son to achieve a bright future makes sense to consider the best ending of The Great Gatsby to be Gatsby's fulfilling his quest for the social position in life. The best end for The Great Gatsby could, therefore, be a better social position in his life that could uplift the quest of his old father wanted him to have a bright future that could enlighten other members of the community rather than focusing on enjoying life with the most spendthrift members of the society who majorly focuses on alcoholism.

A Socially Relevant Gatsby

A better ending that could include Gatsby becoming a socially relevant person in society could have enabled the characters to do away with hate and focus on the future of every member of the community. For instance, Daisy who run away with Tom and whom you did not even bother to send flowers or a eulogy not in regards to the death of Gatsby could be a character that was supposed to be made to enable the society to realize their worth of avoiding head and focusing on positive vibes. The words that Nick and Mr. Gats outlined concerning the summation of Gatsby's tragic life could be something that could enable society to realize the worth of living a life that ends up solving one quest. In that manner, a better ending could include the friends of Gatsby coming to an after-party and sharing their experience with Gatsby and his quest to achieve a better position in social life. In that manner, the novel would make sense to the current society that free individuals struggle to make their ways better.

Gatsby's Family and Friends Celebrating His Success

The final chapter could be about how Gatsby's family and his friends were supposed to be organizing on how to congratulate him for his efforts in life in attaining a better social position. His father, Mr. Gats could be there to enjoy the success that his son achieves concerning the sacrifice that he made towards making him be a role model to his friends and associates. Fitzgerald's perspective of the old and new world could be significantly be applied towards the end of the novel by improving an aspect of a better ending for Gatsby. The social principles that Fitzgerald established throughout the book could be employed in the life of Gatsby by portraying how the American dream was achieved by his quest to climb the social ladder. Besides, the social decay that has been widely outlined in the novel could be resurfaced buy a better society that could uphold the American dream through communicating aspects relating to the major themes.

The Positive Aftermath of the American Dream

The positive aftermath of the American dream could be outlined at the end of the novel. A positive result could be associated with the success that Gatsby and his friends could be having concerning their sacrifice towards becoming successful and being placed in a high social position in society. Rather than writing about the effects of civilization by connecting the character of Meyer Wolfsheim who was portrayed to be a shady character with a mammoth of business, the best ending of the novel could be associated with the positive influence of the American dream and civilization by connecting success of Gatsby rather than his death. Besides, the kind of life that Wolfsheim lives which are associated with the American dream could be better if it could be Incorporated to was the ending of the story.

Lastly, love dilemmas that are guided by egocentrism and the love for money could be resurfaced by positive vibes associated with the positive influence of the American dream and the aspect of civilization.
