Just like any other city or town no matter how big it is, they tend to experience various challenges from time to time. In this case, Longview, Texas, is not an exception. I am writing to you about the main issue that is facing our town, which is the financing of schools. As we well know if the education scheme is affected the entire city or nation goes down the drill and enhancing it is an uphill task. Some students in this town lack sufficient funds for them to acquire an education. It is because public learning institutions no longer offer free education. It is very challenging for parents who live in low-income regions as they can no longer afford to educate their children. However, the private sector is okay because their students come from well-off families hence their parents can afford it. The challenges with the finance scheme are that the funds are not in conjunction with the learners' needs, some provisions favor students from other districts, tax revenues are unequal, and the funding policies are intradistrict.

In my opinion, the issues need to be handled before they destroy the school system of Longview, Texas. However, there are various ways that the education system can handle the challenges. The first way is going through the paper by the Texas School of Finance on Basics and Reform because it offers guidance on how the town can achieve efficiency and equity in the education scheme by a market-based universal approach. It is essential because Longview is also in Texas. The second way is by offering learning saving accounts. Through this, the parents and guardians will receive money on the credit card that will be insufficient for the services of education because some learners receive it and fail to inform their parents. It means that the market of private and public learning institutions needs posting to enable the parents and guardians to choose a better option. Also, increasing the wages for effective tutors and lecturers, offering tax relief for the school's property, and enhancement of the learners' outcomes are practical as well.

The Governor, Greg Abbot, presented a tax revenue of property at 2.5% each year. This strategy does not only permit the government to enhance education funding. By the year 2023, the government will have spent $3.8 billion more than it uses at the moment in the maintenance of the levels of funding. The conservative lawmakers have been proposing using the funds' results to increment of the general revenue and the gas and oil production taxes. These strategies need an application to save the Longview, Texas education system. Some of these effects are: the first one is a reduction in economic growth, and vulnerability to HIV, and AIDS. Also, there will be an increase in maternal and infant deaths and an increase in poverty as well. It is because at this moment the children are idle and an idle mind is the devil’s workshop. Some will indulge in fornication and get pregnant and the infants might die because they were not ripe for giving birth. When the learners lack education, they lack employment, and the economic growth of a nation or the globe at large reduces. It shows that the development of a country or town will be challenging.
