PART 1: Your Music Today: Think about a recent song that you have connected with that has expressed emotion and do the following:

For reasons unknown, certain songs might fulfill you feel or tragic by taking after particular discourse designs we connect with every feeling.
PART 2: Consider Past Styles: Consider facts about the music contained in this unit (Blues, Gospel, Soul and Motown).
List some of the main themes that are a part of each of these styles: Themes differ with the type of music being sang and the message it carries. However, in this case some of the themes from this genre of music are:
Blues: Love
Gospel: Salvation
Soul: Grief
Motown: Jubilation

PART 4: Compare & Analyze: Consider Blues, Gospel, Soul and Motown Music and compare them with your music today.
What are similarities between your original music selection and the Blues, Gospel, Soul or Motown. (Think about the following: Emotional qualities or Motivation, Themes, Instrumentation, Style, Tempo, Dynamics etc.)
The similarities between the music today and the past blues are that they both have a theme. For instance, the theme of love has been utilized both in the past and in the present. Artists are expressing their feelings for each other through songs.
What are the major differences between your original music selection and the Blues, Gospel, Soul or Motown.Definitely there is a big difference for instance when it comes to the use of instruments. In the past, the music was mainly accompanied by the use of clapping and presence of guitar. The current generation has evolved, and the use of different instruments has been used to make the music sweeter than before.
How could your original music selection be remade so that it would fit into one of the styles that we have studied so far? (It is totally fine to time-travel and be creative with this response). Who from the past would you choose to perform the remake?
The only problem being seen in the current music is the fact that majority of the artists are just after money. Due to the desire to make money, the productions of music have lost meaning in that whatever is being sung has no meaning. It could be better if the current artists could emulate the past music genre in trying to use music to pass the message to the community.

1-20 = Poor: At least one song completed. The form is not entirely completed with a mixture of fragments or partial sentences displaying reasonably thoughtful responses utilizing less than adequate musical vocabulary. The document contains writing errors or demonstrates less than careful listening.
0 = No response.
(As with other assignments, if submitted past the Sunday past the due date the highest score will be out of 90% 36pts. In this case, the formula applied will be basically score minus four.)
