The availability heuristic is a kind of mental shortcut that involves one basing their judgements of information and examples that quickly come to mind.

News reports and social media influence tend to create a perspective with the immediate examples in the evaluation of a given topic or concept thus making individuals make predictions.

An example of availability heuristic was when I was walking in town while it was rainy and I tripped and fell in mad. I could not bear the embarrassment of walking along with mud all over and the quickest alternative I settled for was to buy a cheap pair of trousers and pretend nothing happened.

The representative heuristic is the making of judgements concerning probabilities of events under uncertainty.

Representative heuristic influences our perception of other people in that an individual at a certain position is considered to be there because they either have a degree representing the position or something similar.

An example of a representative heuristic is when say Ken is a librarian is either because of the stereotypes attached to them or a representation similar to that.
