Civilization developed rich because society was able to enforce government laws that propel culture. In instances where governing institutions function effectively, civilization becomes rich. On the contrary, poor civilization is characterized by legal systems that do not work effectively to meet the needs of the community.
Controlling the population of the region also explains how civilization develop rich. A poorly civilized society is unable to control its population growth. Rich civilization realizes the needs of the community and how to control factor that hinders development in contemporary society. Countries like China and most of the developed countries of the world have a law that regulates the number of children that a person should have. Most of the rich civilization have emerged as a result of controlling the population. Nations that have little control over birth rates are less civilized.
In England, the enclosure of agricultural land by the rich people for planting pasture for sheep to increase wool production displaces several people from rural areas. The displacement resulted in an increased number of people in town as a result of moving from rural areas to the city, the level of unemployment increases. Besides, poor housing and a high number of unmarried group of people emerge. Moreover, miserable life is encouraged in the process because those moving from rural lacked due to insufficient income to buy land and have proper housing as a result of congestion in town. This ensure that the population is monitored and regulated. On the other hand, poor civilization, the birth range is high; hence, the population of a given place increase at a high rate which results in unemployment and poverty.
Conversely, civilizations develop rich when the law enforcers are strong. This is because they can control the people living in a particular society. The society where law enforcement is weak, its civilization will continue growing poor as time goes by. The heads of households also play a vital role in civilization. In instances where families ensure order leaves a small chance for the government to enforce its laws that stimulates growth in civilization. Civilization call for the effort of the government to be able to address issues of employment, food, clothing and access to health care service in the society. Hence, a rich civilization allows the government to enforce its laws on society.
Moreover, the democracy depicted within society portrays if civilization is rich or poor. In a rich civilization, democracy forms the most significant part of decision making. Ideas and opinions are exchanged freely among societal member. As a result, new ways of handling issues are developed. In a poor civilization, there is little room for democracy and the only way of communicating the decision made is from the authorities.
Gender have also played an essential role in making sure that some civilization is rich. In a society where they stereotype women as irresponsible, stupid as well as ignorant implies that it is not civilized because women are given little consideration on matters of enhancing development. In a rich civilization, all people are given equal chances to contribute towards social, political and economic change within the society. Creating gender differences and putting stereotypes on groups or individuals such as men or women in society affects civilization. Finding a way to deal with the issue of gender will help improve civilization.
