Introduction

In nonequivalent group designs, conditions are not randomly assigned to participants making it a between-subjects design.

Most researchers prefer this design. It reduces error variance through statistical methods. Statistically, it is done by accounting for the preexisting factors that make a subject to be the way it is and the outcome of the applied treatment.
