Introduction

Human beings are defined by various factors and one of the interactions between each other. Interacting with each other is important is helps human beings to developed a healthy life as well as the relationship with other people. This aspect has led to the development of psychosocial, which is an area of knowledge that deals with human behaviors as well as social factors. In this field, there are a lot of concepts that have been presented which related to the psychosocial development in human beings. One of these elements is Erikson's Lifespan Developmental, which is made up of several stages. Therefore, this paper will focus on Erikson's Lifespan Developmental and how it is related to me.

Trust vs. Mistrust (0 -1 Year)

This stage related to my development because, at this age is developed a lot of trust for my parents and only other people who were closer to me (Dunkel & Harbke, 2017). If I were left in the company of other strange people, I would cry because I did not trust them.

One of the developmental milestones that occur at this stage, trusting the adults. The second developmental milestone in this stage is to get rid of fear. The third developmental milestone in this stage is to get rid of any form of anxiety.

In this stage, there are certain goals as well as challenges that should be attained. The first goal is to develop trust among adults. The second goals is to understand the needs that the adults will provide. The third goals is to ensure that the world is predictable.

Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt (1 - 3 Years Old)

The second stage of Erikson's lifespan development is autonomy vs. shame, as well as doubt (Syed & McLean,2017). This stage relates to my development in the sense that I began to explore the external world and to learn that I can take certain actions to be able to produce results. At this stage, I began to show preference toward certain aspects compared to others.

One of the main developmental milestones in this stage is to identify the surrounding. The second developmental milestone that occurs in this stage is to develop perceptions that certain things are good and bad. The third milestone that happens at this stage is to take control of various situations.

At this stage, there are several goals that have to be attained. In this case, one of the goals that have to be obtained is independence. Also, the other goal of this stage is to develop control over various actions. The third goal that has to be attained in this stage is to understand the results of certain actions.

Initiative vs. Guilt (3-5 Years Old)

As the development continues, one reaches this stage, whereby the ability to initiate various activities is developed as well as developing control over their world (Orenstein & Lewis, 2020). This stage relates to my development in the sense that I started developing low self-confidence on various issues. Also, at this stage, I became a shy person, stubborn, quiet, and polite.

At this stage, there are various developmental milestones that have to be achieved. One of the developmental milestones that has to be achieved is to develop a sense of ambition. Secondly, the developmental milestone for this stage is to develop responsibility. The third developmental milestone for this stage is to be able to explore the limits as a child.

In this stage, one of the goal that has to be attained as a child is to develop confidence on various issues. The second goal that has to be achieved while passing through this stage is guilty, whereby in case a person does something wrong, he or she will not feel good about it. Lastly, the ability to initiate several activities is another goal that has to be achieved.

Industry vs. Inferiority (5 - 12 Years Old)

The developmental process continues until this stage whereby a child begins to face the task of industry vs. Inferiority. This stage relates to my personal development in the sense that I began comparing myself with my peers. Also, this stage relates my development in that I started becoming honest, cheerful as well as helpful to other people.

One of the developmental milestones that take place in this stage is to be able to identify the factors related to Inferiority and complexity, which makes it easy to compare with other peers. The second developmental milestone is being able to accomplish various activities. The third developmental milestone that takes place in this stage is the ability to understand negative and positive experiences.

Apart from the developmental milestones that are experienced at this stage, there are certain goals as well as challenges. In this stage, one of the goals that have to be attained is developing a sense of pride. Another challenge that is presented in this stage is when one fails to measure the level of other people, he or she will develop Inferiority. The third goals is to develop the ability to accomplish various activities.

Identity vs. Role Confusion (12 - 18 Years Old)

At the age of 12 to 18, where most children reach adolescence, they start developing the task of identity vs. role confusing. This stage relates to my development in that when is reached 18 years old; I began understanding who I am better and what I need to do with my life. At this stage, I decided that I would go ahead and pursue early childhood education. Also, it is at this stage where I managed to develop an interest in photography.

One of the main developmental milestones that take during this stage is that a person develops an interest in what he or she will do later in life. The other developmental milestone that takes place in this stage is developing certain values and beliefs. The third developmental milestone that takes place at this stage is the ability to set goals.

Apart from the developmental milestone that has to be achieved at this stage, there may be several goals as well as challenges. One of the goals that is developed in this stage is to remain true to their values as well as beliefs. The other goals that has to be attained at this stage is to develop personal independence. However, the challenge that may be experienced at this stage is that if one fails to develop person values and beliefs, he or she may be forced to conform to the pressure of the patients and this results in confusion.

Intimacy vs Isolation (18 - 40 Years Old)

As people are turning into adulthood, they develop a sense of intimacy as well as emotions. This stage relates to my person development in the sense that after I reached 22 years old, I started developing the desire to share my life with other people and be able to maintain sound relationships.

One of the developmental milestone that has to be achieved in this stage to develop the desire of having relationships with other people. Another developmental milestone is to be able to maintain these relationship with other people. The third developmental milestone is to understand oneself.

In this case, there are several goals that have to be attained. One of the goals that should be attained is to understand oneself before developing relationship with other people. The second goal that has to be attained in this stage is maintaining a sound relationship with other people. However, the main challenge that is evident in this case is that when one is not able to develop sound relationships with other people, it is likely that the person will feel isolated.

Generativity vs. Stagnation (40 - 65 Years Old)

As the development continues, a person reaches a stage of generativity vs. Stagnation (Chavez, 2016). This stage related to my development process in the sense that I plan to start a family and get four children that is two boys and two girls.

The developmental milestone that is present at this stage is to develop a sense of direction in life. The second developmental milestone present at this stage is that one develop a sense of care towards other people. The next developmental milestone that takes place in this stage is one develops desire to take part in meaningful work that will benefit the society.

There are several goals that are associated with this stage. One of the goal that takes place in this stage is to live a fulfilling work. In this case, one desires to achieve most of the ambitions. The second goal related to this stage is ensuring that the welfare of other people is improved. However, the challenge that is evident in this stage is that if a person fails to develop the above tasks, it is likely that he or she will experience Stagnation.

Ego Integrity vs Despair (65 Tears and Above)

The last step Erikson's psychosocial developmental stages is integrity vs. despair (Young, 2018). This stage related to my development in the sense that I plan that when I reach the age of 60 years, I will be able to reflect on my life and say that I have lived well.

One of the developmental milestones that come along with this stage is the ability to reflect on the things that were done in early life. The second developmental milestone related to this stage is the development of a sense of integrity. The third developmental milestone is to happiness is achieved lived a fulfilling life.

Lastly, there are several goals and challenges related to this stage. In this case, one of the goals is to be satisfied that one has lived a fulfilling life. The second goal associated with this stage is to advise young individuals on what they should do to be successful. Lastly, the challenge associated with this stage is that it is a person who did live a good life; he or she will be full of despair since the lost time cannot be recovered.
