Early Life of Timothy Walter Burton

Timothy Walter Burton was born in a small town named Burbank, California, in 1958 to Jean Burton and William Burton. In the film production sector, Burbank is known as the home of renown studios such as the Warner Brothers, Disney, and NBC. When Walter Burton joined a junior school, he was notably not the above-average performer; however, he was good when it came to Arts and creativity. At a young age, Burton's love for the camera, filming, and movies were evident as he was fascinated by film, particularly monster movies, and enjoyed painting and drawing. During Burton's pre-teen years, he would create a short film in a backyard around Evergreen Street by using a stop motion animation strategy or, in other cases, create films using an 8mm film with no sound. For example, at the age of 13-year-old, Burton made a juvenile film, The Island of Doctor Agor. In 1976, Burton completed his high school education, after which he studied character animation in the California Institute of Arts located in Valencia. During the time as a college student, Burton worked on two short films, King and Octopus and Stalk of the Celery Monster, which he later released after graduation.

The Career Life of Tim Burton

During the 1980s, after releasing the two animations, the Stalk of the Celery Monster caught the interest of Walt Disney Production under the animation section. It gave Tim Burton a job offer as an animator's apprenticeship at the production. At Disney Production studios, Burton worked as a graphic designer, art and storyboard artist, animator, and a concept artist on short films like the Tron (1982), among others. However, most of his concept artworks never got into the finished films. Burton did not enjoy a pinch of being an animator at this time. Drawing characters, setting them up in their respective frames, was tedious and boring though the animation was something that delighted him even before he reached his teenage years. Tim Burton's first production was Hansel and Gretel, followed by the Frankenweenie (1984), which were both short films.

After the making of a series of short films, Tim Burton got involved in directing more lengthy films, which in different occasions won him awards due to the hard work, determination, and creativity seen through the job as well. Often, Tim Burton's work displayed a unique style, particularly with the use of High and Low-key lighting techniques and intricate skills in different editing variations. Tim Burton's first directing feature and the lengthy film was the 1995 Pee-wee's Big Adventure. In 1988, Tim Burton director Beetlejuice, a comedy film as he established himself as a distinct and exceptional filmmaker. Later on, after turning to the mainstream directing of movies with a bigger budget, Tim Burton was involved with the 1989 Batman film alongside its 1992 sequel, Batman Returns, which were both significant productions. In another development, Tim Burton provided the general design and concept used in The Nightmare Before Christmas film directed by Henry Selick.

Further, Burton collaborated with Johnny Depp, marked by Edward Scissorhands in 1990. In the directing of the films, Burton worked with Jonny Deep on films such as The Ed Wood in 1994, Sleepy Hollow in 1999, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory produced in 2005. More so, Burton has made significant development with his directing and camera skills, particularly with a science-fiction production that was released in 2001, The Planet of the Apes. In other events, Tim Burton has been nominated for Academy Awards, for example, the 2005 film Corpse Bride was nominated for the best-animated feature as it featured Bonham Carter's and Johnny Deep's voice. Besides the filming and directing activities in the filming career, Tim Burton began a relationship with Helena Bonham Carter, during the filming of The Planet of Apes, whom they became life partners.

Conclusion

Tim Burton has continued to dazzle his fans with every film project he directs. Tim Burton's quirkiness, passion for directing, a deep sense of creativity, and individuality have made him exceptional and different from his audience while trying to stick to the culture of creativity in film directing. The quirky visual style is visible in a couple of remakes he led like Charlie And The Chocolate Factory and The Planet of Apes. Often, Burton uses his work as a sort of treatment and spots his embodiment into everything he contacts. The torment from being unaccepted by his mates and family are set into his work. Without the judgment and misery hurled at him, Burton could have never been as great as he is considered today, whereby his life has impacted each piece of his work.
