Other important casts are Reese Witherspoon playing the role of Mrs. Whatsit and Mindy Kaling as Mrs. Who. These women play the supernatural role of assisting Storm Reid also Meg and Deric McCabe also Charles Wall to rescue their father Chris Pine also Dr. Alex Murray.

The story spins around a scientific man with huge scientific dreams who wishes to touch the universe after discovering of a way through which he could transport himself from Earth into the Universe. This methodology uses a medium of transport known as a tesseract. A tesseract entails the careful observation of the Earth's inter-mingling moments with other planets and like a wrinkle, it creates a passage. This is the passage that doctor Murry uses to get to the other side of the planet but he ends up being trapped. Megan and her younger sibling Charles end up making the same journey and rescuing their dad in the process.

The movie, therefore, has managed to explore many details such as courage, the relation between faith and reason but the ultimate subject of discussion is love. In this essay, therefore, the theme of love and its ability to concur the darkness that is in the world today will be explored.

There is no doubt to most Christians that love is associated with spiritual matters. A person's soul is able to feel love as an irresistible and powerful force which acutely wounds one soul (Saint John of the Cross, 98). This is the same advice that Mrs. Whatsit gives to Megan when the divine women are forced to leave the children in Camazotz, a planet of many faces and full of darkness. The significance of this scene is that in the world today, different people including children will have to face many challenges on their own. It is the response that matters. People will have to figure out for themselves as to which would be the best cause of action.

This translates to a real experience such as the bullying Megan receives while in school. It is apparent that her neighbor Rowan Blanchard who is playing the role of Veronica Kiley is a bully. Veronica, however, fights a secret condition that no one knows except for herself. In order to seek acceptance and popularity in school, she bullies others and has anorexic tendencies. She is trying hard to become the perfect girl that everyone would envy while totally neglecting the most important thing; self-love. It, therefore, becomes apparent that love is quite vital, as it brings about hope in a world that is crooked and full of evil.

In the movie, evil is given the name IT. IT is seen to have transcended its place in the Universe and traveled to the Earth and its impact on human species was profound. It is no wonder of the effect it has had on Principal Jenkins more so after his appointment or on Calvin O'Keefe, a straight-A student with an abusive father. The effects of the IT have compounded the minds of many souls in the Earth and were continually doing so. It, therefore, becomes apparent for Meg that her purpose laid in defeating the earthly desire for pouring out one's frustrations onto another. There was a need for her to become a warrior as Mrs. Which commanded in order to defeat the IT. In a spiritual sense, this is correct as spiritual battles are waged the fiercest around families and they lay a claim on an individual's soul (Jones, 196). It is important therefore for humans to recognize the need to conduct war against dark forces which are prevailing in the world today. By so doing, everyone would have created the environment needed to support and embrace the differences that each person has.

The original author of the book, Madeleine L'Engle uses the various faults and challenges that Meg goes through to ascertain that love is indeed long-suffering. From a biblical sense this is true as it states that love is kind, not proud, has no envy rejoices in wrongdoing and above all believes and has hopes in all things (Price, 31). The above is true from the loving and kindness that Mrs. Which showers Meg with. She understands that Meg is still wrapped up in her own painful little world. She does not let people in as she does not trust easily. The above is true with most of the people in the world today. Many are so consumed by their own lives to even realize that the lives of those around them matter too. Such a challenge can be achieved by realizing the need for selflessness as Meg did. Through that, she was able to save her baby brother who had been possessed by the IT thus setting him free.

Through Meg, we also get to learn about the futility of science and reason without touches of love in them. Doctor Murry is rescued from oblivion because of the faith and the strong love his daughter harbored towards him. Both father and daughter's journeys were possible because of their intricate knowledge of science and technology. It, however, took the loving hand, guidance, and patience of those around them for them to achieve the greatest sacrifice of all; love. It is imperative for one to note that all earthly living organisms respond to love (Wilson, 46). People, plants, animals and even insects all have an intimate method via which they respond to love and affection. A good example are the flowers found on the planet of Uriel who responded to Mrs. Whatsit affections and in turn were able to correctly point out the direction that the doctor went.

In conclusion, therefore, the movie A Wrinkle in Time has successfully managed to point out to its viewers on the importance of love and the need for the same. People should not look for uniformity in order to belong. They should rather celebrate the different aspects that are inexistent. It is vital to embrace everyone with their faults. By doing so, we would be creating a planet like Uriel where beauty flows and every living thing is happy and confident in themselves. That is the kind of world that God initially intended for human beings. It was by faulty design that evils such as terrorism, wanton killing and deaths are conducted by people who have allowed their souls to be consumed by an evil presence. It becomes paramount for one to become a warrior and fight against the IT's of the world thus allowing love to prevail.
