Introduction
Dogs have personalities just human beings do, and which are liable to change over time when exposed variations in the normal way of operations. The owners or parents of the dogs could be showing compassion to their pets which can be exhibited in a number of ways. For instance, the parents could always be willing to be next to their dogs which make them feel better. Chopik and Weaver (2019) provided that dogs appear to behave like human beings since they require their parents to spend a considerable number of hours with them. However, when this form of attention lacks in the interaction between the dogs and their owners, they feel frustrated, and as a result, they tend to inactive and have low response relative to their counterparts receiving great care.
The Main Idea
The main idea in the news story is that the personalities of dogs have no constant natures but tend to change with time. This implies that the issue of nurture has a significant role to play in shaping the personality of the animals. According to Michigan State University, (2019the personality of dogs manifests in a number of ways and these range from how active they are, responsiveness to their moods. These dimensions may only appear to be constant if the conditions they face are constant and favorable. However, a little deviation from the usual way of life means the dogs will need more effort to adjust which subsequently has a considerable effect on their personality. This is similar to the behavior of human beings; therefore, dogs like people can have their personalities change depending on the situation resulting from the change.
Supporting Evidence
There are a number of instances which serving as the supporting evidence to the main idea presented in the news story. For example, when the parents or dogs express their willingness to nurse their dogs unconditionally, they may have a different personality as it would in the case when they get little or no attention. This can be experienced when a dog parent feels the need to carry the dog and even kiss as with human beings. The dogs receiving this form of attention tend to have a happy life hence have good moods. Besides, Michigan State University. (2019) showed that dogs take time to be familiar with a new environment; they feel frustrated by new things they see and which they could not have seen before. In this instance, Chopik and Weaver (2019) argued that the owners can intervene by introducing another dog to help in adjusting and fitting to the environment together. Moreover, dogs feel uncomfortable when a family member who is close it leaves abruptly; they really feel this absence and affect their personality dearly. The owners tend to make this change gradually rather than having it to occur abruptly (Michigan State University, 2019). This can be achieved by making them be familiar to other family members before the close associate of the dog leaves.

Source of Information on the Topic
I would like to find more on the topic and this can be found in peer-reviewed journals on natural sciences. Such journals would be good sources since the information provided would be relevant to the research needs on the same topic. This is because publications are specifically based on the occurrences and conditions exhibited associated with the physical world. Besides, being peer-reviewed, they must have met the minimum requirements of quality control which promote the criteria of reliability and other metrics of a source of information. The other sources would be drawn from the university website specifically in the area containing the publications on natural sciences.
