Introduction
The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) consists of endless pieces of art that capture several moments of history through different customs and mediums. Hours upon hours of walking up and down the museum, turning right and left, tourists are assured to encounter design or painting that inspires and stimulates their brain and helps them to refocus on different social developments (Center). MOMA continues to exhibit major iconic exhibitions at the same time collaborating with the work of other contemporary media and artists the museum remains home to some of the most magnificent artworks created since the 19th century and continues to set the bar for aesthetic pleasure and curatorship. Artists explored various channels such as consumerism, the development of art, music, and literature as well as self-representation. For instance, artists like Richard Horden and Gregory Ain strived to present their work with the aim of educating the society.
Richard Horden
Richard Horden was born in 1944; he is a British designer in London. Following an early profession, the artist worked for approximately ten years, whereby he developed his exhibition forum - The Richard Horden Associates in 1985, which attained renaming as Horden Cherry Lee Designs in 1999. Richard Horden was the architect of small-scale arts fashioned with the most innovative materials.
Richard Horden combined high-technological engineering scheme with industrial-design techniques and created a groundbreaking range of innovative structures in a wide variety of settings. He designed the Ski Haus project provided to the Alps-scheme, used by rock climbing and catastrophe rescuing teams majorly used it. He also established different Antarctic living components of the various micro compact home, a completely self-contained pre-fab home-based that fits into a 2.65m2 cuboid; these constructions gain designing for their adaptableness regarding the changing standards of living as well as essential social requirement. The Ski-Haus works as a portable alpine cabin. The lightweight, all-aluminum structure weighs approximately 315 kilograms; it is designed to be used in elevated scenes by an airplane. Use of lightweight aeronautics materials insulates the Ski Haus; it has a self-contained energy system which is powered by solar and wind-driven generators.
Gregory Ain
Gregory Ain Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in 1908, he was brought up Lincoln neighborhoods of Los Angeles. For a short period during his adolescent development, his family lived at Llano del Rio, an investigational joint farming colony in California. He was motivated to develop his career as an architect after visiting the Schindler House as a teen.
During the 1940s, he got into a partnership with Alfred Day and Joseph Johnson to design large housing strips. One of his main projects during his art career include the establishment of social community households; park strategized homes, Avenel institutions, as well as Mar Vista constructions. He also got into terms with landscape designer Eckbo Garrett on every single project. Ain also formed a "loose organization" with James Garrott, and they constructed a small workshop structure Hyperion Avenue around Silver Lake district in California. These developments drew Philip Johnson's, attention a curator of structural design at MOMA, who later appointed Gregory to design and build Museum of Modern Art's second art exhibition hall around the museum's garden in 1950.
Unlike Richard Horden Ain's careers was weakened as he was perceived as a socialist, due to this he almost lost several opportunities, including his membership in John Entenza's Training Program. But both artists demonstrated an interest in pre-fabrication schemes as well as incorporative skills in architecture building projects by use of different design elements (McDonald).
