Which of the four "prescriptions" do you believe is most significant?
The most significant proposal of the four "prescriptions" given in the article is the movement from the traditional approach of human capital to use of the global concept. The model is important in the healthcare sector since it will cover all aspects of the industry. It will lead to the introduction of better working policies in comparison with other countries. Still, the approach is crucial since it will promote a better understanding of the parties in the healthcare industry. It will also improve employee recognition, commitment, and production (Buchan, 2000). Lastly, there will be a better improvement on the equity, since the individuals will have world-class policy development which will encourage innovation and balance in the handling of the staff. The final outcome will be the growth and development of the whole industry.
Have the four "prescriptions" evolved in healthcare?
The four "prescriptions" have evolved, but at different rates according to the article findings. For instance, there is little integration of the components of the human resource management in the healthcare industry when doing preparation and implementation of the policies. The development of the policies should be in line with goals and the objectives of the healthcare industry. Still, close view shows that there is need to improve on the promotion of the full commitment of all professionals and also the sectors in all phases of the healthcare process (Dussault, and Dubois, 2003). The evolution seems to be slow since the individuals are not given a clear plan of the long-term goals of the policies. Still, there is a need to evolve on the approach of management since it is crucial and it will promote a better understanding of the parties in the healthcare industry. It will also improve on the employee recognition, commitment, and production.
State any personal work experiences that might reinforce your thought.
Working in the healthcare industry entails better mastery of the policies and the long-term goals. For instance, when I was working with the ministry of health, I had to learn the basics and how to relate to others with a view of working with a common goal. The use of organizational policies was one of the crucial approaches to ensuring the success of the whole healthcare system. Still, during my working experience with the industry, I came to note that reforms include leading to the better categorization of the human capital, the working condition and the recognition of the employees among others.
